  Challenger. That was his name, and it suited him well. He could make me scream, cry into my pillow, and he could in general be an utter nightmare.

  But I couldn't help loving him.  My name is Tessa, and my family owns Star Run Stables. I love horses, being immersed in them since birth. I've tended to, trained, and loved to death many horses, all of which I remember. All had their quirks, their stories. But Challenger was special, one of a kind.  This is his story.
