Furry Little Problem

It was September 1 again and I was so excited to see my friends again. Sadly Black soon found out we were neighbors and bothered me all summer.

Summer may have been a vacation for some people but for me, well I got stuck with Black.

When it was time to go to platform 9 3/4 Sirius insisted that he go with us. We even met Sirius' family. They were nice to us but I could tell it was only because we were  pure-bloods.

On the train I did my best to stay away from Black but found myself in the same compartment as them because Lily and Severus' was sadly full. I tried to sit in my own compartment but Black made me sit down.

I got to know Peter and Remus a little more and decided they were nicer then Black and Potter.

Soon I decided to take my Bible out and read. I then started to read the book of James after I got something off the trolley.

"What are you reading?" Remus asked curiously.

"The Bible." I answered as I sat up to look at him.

"What's it about?" Remus asked again as he started to get a glimpse of it from over my shoulder.

At that moment I gave a quick summary of it. I told him how God created the Earth and how the Earth was once perfect until sin entered the world and then how Jesus came a died so that we could be forgiven.

Remus listen intently and I noticed that Black, Potter, and Peter were listening as well.

"Is it true?" Sirius asked.

I nodded my head, "It is very true."

They all began to ask more questions and I did my best to answer every one of them. Though they did ask some pretty hard questions.

"Here." I said picking up my Bible, "You guys can read it, I have another copy."

Remus took it and began to read it eagerly.

"Oh and if you want to it might be helpful to take notes on it." I suggested.

Remus nodded and we road the rest of the way in silence.

As the year progressed I noticed that Remus had scars across his arms, face, and legs, though I didn't ask about it I noted that Black, Potter, and Peter were curious about it as well.

Most of the time he told us it was his cat, but it was still hard to believe so when he "went to check on his mom" I decided to follow him.

I followed him quietly and noticed that he was heading towards the whomping willow.

I waited outside of it and then suddenly I heard howling. I looked up and saw that it was a full moon. Suddenly everything pieced together. Him being gone every full moon, his scars, everything made sense.

I quickly ran back to the castle and used the hidden passage that took me to the library.

I looked around until I found a book on werewolves. Wolfsbane. That could be it if I could make wolfsbane than maybe I could help Remus.

As I continued to read I also learned that werewolves would not hurt themselves if they were around other animals.

Amigus. That would be perfect! If I became an Amigus I could help Remus.

At that I decided to go to bed and confront Remus in the morning.

When I woke up I immediately went to the Hospital Wing (I told Lily to tell the other girls of course) so that I could check on Remus.

"Hey Remus." I greeted him normally.

He looked up, "Oh. Hello Emily."

"How's your furry little problem going." I asked with a slight smile on my face.

"You know!?" He said his eyes growing wider by the second.

"I may have followed you." I admitted sheepishly.

"Now you know I'm a monster!" Remus cried.

"Remus!" I demanded, "Look at me. You are not a monster. You got that."

"You don't think I'm a monster?" Remus said almost hopefully.

"Of course not!" I said shaking my head.

"The Bible says God can do anything...." Remus began, "Does that mean he can...you know...fix me?"

"He could, But he doesn't always do what we want him to do. It's all part of of his perfect plan." I said patting his shoulder.

Remus nodded and then was silent. He seemed to be deep in thought.

"I can pray for you if you like." I said smiling softly.

He nodded and I kneeled down and began to pray, " Dear God, I would like to thank you for all the things you have done for us. Lord you can do anything so I pray that you will be with Remus. Lord if it is your will please heal him. If not let us still be thankful and honor and praise you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."

As I finished praying I noticed that Madam Pomfrey was cry silently, "Never in all my years at Hogwarts have I've seen something so beautiful." She said wiping a few tears from her eyes.

I looked at her and smiled, "Thank you." I said softly.

"No, thank you." Madam Pomfrey said walking up towards Remus.

Then I turned around and left the room knowing what I was going to do next. I was going to become a Animagus.
