It was just a regular chaotic day at the Mahajan hospital, when Monami was passing by the reception...✨

Receptionist - We are sorry Sir but we can't take the patient in...We don't have a spare ICU bed at the moment...But sir

Monami heard her and took the receiver from her hand,

Monami - Who's it??

Receptionist - Vo...Doctor

Monami glared her and she went mum, she picks up the receiver again and answers...✨

Monami - Hello...Yes, Dr. Monami this side...May I know where are u calling from??

Doctor - Doctor I'm calling from a clinic nearby, we have an Army officer here from somedays... Multiple injuries, critical...We wanted to shift him to your speciality because we feel you can handle the case better...I'm really requesting you, can you please admit him?? We've given him the basic treatment but his health is deteoriorating 

Monami - Umm okay...Aap pls shift kara dijiye

Doctor - Thank u sooo much doctor

Receptionist - But mam

Monami glared her again and puts the receiver down...The receptionist gulps...✨

Monami - Who the hell told u to say no to them??

Receptionist - Doctor... Act..ually (She fumbled)

Monami - I asked who told you?? (She shouted)

Receptionist - Doctor...Doctor Sharma

Monami fumed in anger and went straight to his cabin directly...✨

She opened the door in anger and barged in...✨

Dr. Sharma - Okayyy...Easy?? What is up with you??

Monami - Who told u to say no for that Army guy??

Dr. Sharma - Army guy?? Seedhe seedhe bologi...Kya hua??

She took a deep breath,

Monami - Did you say no to admit that critical patient they want to tranfer from a local clinic??

Dr. Sharma - Ohh that...Ya kyu?? Any problem??

Monami - (She fisted her hand in anger) And why did you do that??

Dr. Sharma - Dekho Monami...He's already very critical...There is no point in shifting him here...Faaltu mein bed waste hoga

That was it, she lost her cool here...✨

Monami - What the hell do you mean by that?? Hum doctors hai right?? (She shouted)

Dr. Sharma - Hey calm down and behave...Tumhare dad ne apni gair mojudgi mein mujhe yaha ka head banaya hai... Toh maine de dia order not to take him in

Monami - I agree, dad ne aapko head banaya hai abhi ke liye...But that does not mean that you will say no to patients...That's not gonna happen...Aap honge yaha ke operations ke head, but ye hospital aaj bhi mere dad ka hai, and I've the full right to take anyone in that I want...Okay?? Now don't u dare to interfere in my business...I'm taking him in

She said and left banging the door of his cabin...✨

Dr. Sharma - Pheww... Emotional fool

10am,

He was shifted to the Mahajan hospital and Monami was there completing all the formalities of his transfer...✨

Monami - Shift him to the Pvt. ICU

Nurse - Yes doctor

She was soo busy in completing the formalities that she didn't even get to see him once...✨

1pm,

She finally goes to the ICU to look at him once and also to check his report...As soon as she entered the ICU, there he was laying down on the hospital bed lifeless with multiple pipes attatched to him, him covered in bandages with IVs attached in both of his hands...✨

She slowly walked upto him and checked his pulse, while placing the stethoscope on his chest...✨

She sighs and opens his report,

Multiple injuries, gunshot wounds, severe burns on his left shoulder possibly from a bomb blast, was revived once 3 days ago

Monami sighed reading his report and checked his wounds, they were deep and one gunshot was near his liver, damaging it 70%...✨

Monami - Pheww...It's gonna be tough...But plss officer, stay with me...Lemme help you

She talked to him while he was in a deep sleep from all the painkillers and medicines...✨

5pm,

He slowly starts waking up and looks around,

Doctor - You're up?? U okay??

Karan looked at her with half opened eyes and nodded lightly, still registering the new surroundings...Monami noticed that...✨

Monami - Umm I think you're confused...Don't wry...Lemme explain...You've been shifted to this hospital from the clinic...You came here in the morning

Karan nodded lightly, still registering all that...Monami sighed looking at him and came forward to check him once...✨

Monami - May I??

He looked at her once and then nodded lightly, she smiled and checked him...✨

Monami - Pain kaha pe hai??

She said while lightly pressing on his stomach, Karan pinched his eyes pain but smiled lightly on her question because every inch of his body ached but him being a soldier...He could take it all...✨

Monami - Umm I'm sorry

He just took a deep breath,

Monami - Has kyu rhe ho??

Karan - Ai..se hi (He said in a low voice with a lot of effort)

Monami looked at him amused...He was covered in injuries from top to bottom but here this man was, still smiling even when she knows he is in a hell lot of pain...She was amazed, at the same time shocked to see him...✨

She just sighed and shook her head on his antics and gave him a painkiller injection...He flinched and turned his face the other way...✨

Monami - I'm sorry 

He shook his head lightly in a No with eyes still closed,

Karan - Sss...it's ok..ay

She sighed,

Monami - I'll be handling your case now...I'm Dr. Monami

Karan sighed and nodded his head lightly,

Monami - Umm do you mind me asking ki ye kaise hua??

He took a deep breath,

Karan - Umm...Mi..ssion 

She nodded lightly and seeing him struggling to even talk, she decided to leave for now...✨

Monami - Okay...I think you should rest for now...Baaki baatein baad mein

He nodded lightly and soon drifted off to sleep again...✨

9pm,

She went to check him again, he was still sleeping...✨

Monami - I want one of you to be with him at all times

Nurse - Sure doctor

Monami - See he's very critical...You will not leave him alone, even for sometime

Nurse - Okay doctor

Monami sighed and checked his temperature...✨

Monami - Mein apne cabin mein hi hu...I'm not going home...I want his updates in every 2 hrs

Nurse - Sure doctor
