I sat with my mother and aunt at the dinner table. "So how was your first day son?" My mother'a voice suddenly broke in my thoughts of that mysterious stranger.

"Oh it was good mom." I replied after clearing my throat and stuffing my face with food. My aunt who was eating a piece of meat with her fork after cutting it with her knife chuckled. "Learn anything Horace?" She asked.

I continued to eat. "The Headmaster two of the teachers told us that the Choosing Ceremony tomorrow." I add on as I look up and see that my mother's eyes were pinpricks.

She dropped her fork and looked like she was about to choke. Just as I was about to get up, Aunt Ysabel stood up from her chair at the dinner table and patted her back and giving her a napkin. After a couples minutes, I sat there wide eyed and concerned as my mother was gasping in and out like a fish.

What was so wrong with what I said? My mother and aunt managed to calm down. "The Choosing Ceremony?" My mother said as she stared at me with wide brown eyes.

"Yes? What's so-" I saw my aunt look at my mother. "You can't shelter him from his mark forever." She said rubbing her back.

My mother exhaled a deep sigh and she looked at me. "Horace, I am concerned because...you are not like other members of Blueblood." She told me.

"I don't..." She had stopped my sentence as she began to speak. "As soon as your father and I had you...we saw a mark appear. Then something happened, another mark had appeared. Your father and I were confused as a Blueblood student with two marks was never heard of. Then, a third and lastly a fourth appeared. Your father and I could not believe it."

My heart was racing and my mind felt dizzy. I stared at my mother. "I don't understand. Am I powerful or something?" I asked. My mother looked to aunt Ysabel and the two of them looked at me. "We are not sure what it means. We looked through every book in our house's library." My aunt replied.

"Maybe my school's library might have something. When I find it." I said. My aunt patted my shoulder. "It's your second day of school tomorrow. Maybe you should wash up and get some rest. We waited to tell you this for years. We'll explain more tomorrow." She said.

I obeyed my aunt as she and my mother both hugged me and wished me goodnight.

I walked toward the eating area. My mind was swimming like a fish. I was born with all four dragon marks. Not only that but the Choosing Ceremony was today!

I was about to catch up to Violet and Alice when I saw them, when I feel a body bump into me.

"God! Watch it you!" The voice said. I bended down to help him up, giving him my hand.

"Sorry! I wasn't looking." I replied, feeling guilty. The guy looked at me. "How could you-" his eyes widened as he stared at me.

"Uhh how could I not watch where I was going?" I finish. The boy with his freckled nose and cheeks blushed. "Beautiful and smart.."

"What?" I asked, my face now turning red. The boy shook his head. "I-I mean...watch where you're going!" He said, becoming angry once again.

"Hey, you two! The ceremony's about to-" Alice's voice graced my ears and she saw the boy in front of me, who still looked red and angry.

"Kage Ufa." Alice said.

I snickered, trying not to laugh at his last name. The boy stared at me. "Is my name funny or something you...you weirdo?" He asked me. Kage. An interesting name for an interesting guy. His face looked even more fascinating up close.

"Lay off him O'great one." She teased. Kage scoffed and walked away from us. I looked at Alice. "What's his problem?"

The girl gave a single laugh. "What isn't wrong with that boy?" She told me. I stared at her for a moment. "Come on, the Choosing Ceremony's about to start." We walk in the area.

It was a large room a long table with each of the goblets and their symbols on tapestries. Violet raced over and held Alice's hand. I sat beside them.

"Bash Erin." Said Headmaster Cilbus. A tall brown haired male walked up to the goblets first. I was interested. He made a slight cut into his wrist and a drop of his blood went into the goblet. Smoke emerged. He did the same to the second, and nothing happened. Then third and the fourth. No result. The male was fit for the Healer position.

"Congratulations." Said Miss Scheff as she clapped for the boy as well as everyone else. I joined in, feeling happy for him.

"Horace Rowan." My name was called. I stood up and walked over, staring at the inside of the goblet. The blood was a different color. It was blue rather than the red that had been dropped into the goblet. Then, it faded.

Taking a deep breath, I made an incision on my hand. My red blood dripped. It turned gold. Blinking slowly as I tried to not freak out, I walked to the next goblet and did the same. It began smoking the same as the other one.

"Oh my word.." Said Headmast Cilbus. My heart was caught in my throat. What is happening right now?
