The first thing Kian and Haley had to figure out was how to tell Farrah.
"She'll just keep asking if we don't." Kian said "We already had the death talk with her before."

"This isn't like her goldfish died, Kian. This is a person she saw all the time, practically a member of the family. That's what makes it real to her...and it's hard to tell her. I mean, she'll probably want to know why Jac is gone."

"I agree, but what's the harm in telling her that Jac passed?"
"There is no harm in telling her, except we don't know when or if she'll believe us." She replied, sighing heavily. "I just know she'll be heartbroken."

Kian and his wife sat Farrah down, and explained gently that Auntie Jac went to Heaven. Farrah looked at her parents, tears rolling down her face. "But...but how....how could she not come back?" she asked, confused. "If she really did, then why did she leave me?"
Haley sat down and wrapped an arm around her daughter's shoulders. "She died because she got sick; there was something wrong with her head, and she was so sick the doctors couldn't help her. She just fell asleep and didn't wake up." Farrah started crying softly and Kian scooped her up into a hug.
"Just know she's not sick anymore, baby girl. Just know that she loved you and be a good friend to Emma." Farrah nodded and hugged him tight, burying her face into his shoulder.
"I promise to try."
They told Farrah about how they knew Jac was dead, and she accepted it. It took a while for her to process all the information, but eventually she came to grips with the idea of Jac not being there anymore.
Haley wiped her daughter's tears away,
hugging her close, kissing her forehead. "I've never felt more proud of you than I do at this moment, sweetheart."
"Me neither." Kian added, pulling his wife closer to himself.

Kian didn't allow himself to cry until he and Haley went to bed that night. They lay cuddling for a while, and then he turned his head and looked at her.
"Do you ever wish you could have another child?" he asked her.
"I've been thinking about it....but how I bled so bad after I gave birth to Farrah, and the miscarriage after that."
"We had Jacob; you had a good pregnancy then."
"Yes, but I thought about the second pregnancy...if things had worked out differently...you know what I'm saying?" She rubbed his chest,
kissing his neck, as he ran his hands through her hair. "Sometimes....I wish Jac was here...just once more...she'd be so happy that we're thinking about it."

"Let's wait until everything is over...when we're ready. We can visit the fertility doctor just to be safe." Haley agreed,
as Kian rolled them onto their sides and pulled her close to kiss her,
and then drifting off to sleep, the image of Jac's smiling face danced through his mind.
