Chapter 2: one year later
~Yami's pov~

A year has passed since me and Yugi have first met, I was busy since I was the pharaoh, but today I decided to sneak out of the palace to see Yugi

I hope that Yugi still remembers me I thought with my ears and tail up while sneaking out of the palace

/Time skip/

I finally made it to Yugi's house, I knocked the door, but no response 'maybe his asleep' I thought then I saw the door was unlocked 'that's weird I thought that Yugi said that he never leaves his door unlocked' I thought then entered but no one was there, I  walked a little till I reached a door that I thought was Yugi's room and entered the room but no one was there, I walked forward to the bed and saw a note that said:

"Yami, if you ever get this letter then I'm probably not there anymore, but dont worry about me I'm fine, I've been sold to the palace, but I still think that we will see each other again
                       Your friend: Yugi

"You were sold to the palace" I said " then I will be able to see you every day, Yugi wait for me" I said with a smile, then I decided to head back to the palace.

~Yugi's pov~

I was heading to the palace with other slaves, I was in the third group of slaves, I didn't know anyone considering that Yami is my only friend that I have.

When it was time for the group I was in to enter the palace, I took a big breath then started to walk, when we were in front of the pharaoh I started to shake, since the only thing that I could see was the ground, I was scared.

~ normal pov~

"Slaves bow down to the pharaoh!" One of the guards said

"My pharaoh the third group of slaves have arrived pharaoh" one of the priests Seto told the pharaoh

The pharaoh nodded and walked to the slaves, after some time the pharaoh had stopped in front of the ninth slave who looked like Yugi.

"Slave stand before your pharaoh!" The pharaoh demand

Yugi flinched then did as told his ears were tucked into his hair and tail in hand shaking

"Look into my eyes!" The pharaoh said ears up and tail moving from side to side

Yugi flinched and hesitantly nodded and looked up and was surprised to find a friend in front of him, in a second Yugi's ears popped up to show that he was happy

"Y-Yami?" Yugi asked confused

"Hey slave how dare you address the pharaoh so formaly with out his permission!" A guard exclamed

"Quiet guard!" Yami shouted

"Y-yes my pharaoh" the guard said

Yami looked at Seto " Seto I want you to take over for me " Yami said

"Pharaoh what about the slaves?" Seto asked

"They are to go to thier rooms and Yugi goes wiht me he will be my personal slave, follow me Yugi" Yami said with a smile while looking at Yugi swaying his tail behind him and Yugi was smiling back

"Y-yes sir" Yugi said with a bright smile on his face
