I woke in a wooden cabin. My leg was wrapped in a white cloth.
" Morning hon'," a woman said. Her blonde hair was up in a bun, and her gold-rimmed glasses were slid down her nose.

" How's that leg of yours?" It throbbed with pain, but it wasn't as bad.
I didn't answer her, but tried to climb out the window behind my bed.
" No, no, no, darling, " the woman ran over and gently pushed me back." You need to heal that leg of yours up.
" But I need to get to Timber!"
" The wolf I heard about? Oh, children these days have tastes of the wild. Now tell me, child, what's your name?"
I knew I couldn't escape her, so I said," My name is Alyssa." The name felt strange to me. I hadn't spoken it out loud in a long time.
" Wonderful name!" The woman answered cheerily." Mine is Lucy Cain, but you can just call me Ms. Cain."
" When will I be able to go back to my home Ms. Cain?" I asked.
   " In a few weeks."
Weeks? I leaned back in my bed with a sigh.
" What's wrong, dear?" Ms. Cain asked.
" I have to go back to Timber. I have to see if he's okay."
" Now now," Ms. Cain layed her hand on my shoulder." Don't worry. The weeks will fly by. Now sit up so I can brush this beautiful hair of yours!"
