Not hearing the small argument inside, the three teenagers were mucking around like normal teenagers should. Arthur was boasting about some trivial matter, Yong soo was trying to one-up Arthur whilst Mathais was watching on with a confused look covering his face.

It was all rather blissful, and a smile eventually graced all three of their faces. They had almost been taken back to a peaceful past. The key word being almost.

The shouting grew louder, and was now audible outside. It was muffled, but the malice hidden in each word was still noticeable. Yong Soo looked towards his adoptive brother with concern: "Are you alright?"

Mathias, snapped out of a trance-like state, replied: "Yeah, 'm good" He mumbled: "Just thinking".

"Glad to hear it, Mathais" Yong Soo flashed a smile, reminiscent of their childhood together. Arthur also grinned, but it was more in character.

"Hey" Arthur called out: "Let's play a game of Heroes!"

"That's so childish, Arthur, we are eighteen. Adults!" Yong Soo yelled
in a scolding tone, akin to a mother's.

"Yeah, that's the point!" Arthur exclaimed: "It never hurts to be childish"

"But we have to act our age!"

"We don't! Do we, Mathias?"

Mathais looked down to his feet, not wanting to decide to act their age or act like a child. He never liked making decisions. He always feared he'd get it wrong, or that people would judge him for it. At most, it took him 5 minutes to decide what he was going to say.

"It wou-wouldn't hurt to be childish, would i-it?" He stuttered, meeting his adoptive brother and friends' eye level. His eyebrows were furrowed in a hopeful yet scared way, and his mouth was tugged into a shy smile.

Arthur's eyes lit up, whilst Yong soo's held a look of defeat. The South Korean expected this outcome, but he didn't mind at all. As long as Mathias was happy he was.

"I'll be the Hero!" Arthur declared, with an air of confidence. His wide smile almost blinded his two childhood friends, but they had gotten used to this by now.

"I guess I could be your s-sidekick" Mathias murmured, running a hand through his hair.

"I'd be honoured!" Arthur responded and stretched his arms out for a big hug. Mathais hugged his smaller friend. It looked really wholesome.

"Well, it looks like I'm a villian again" The South Korean sighed, and started to walk to the other side of the garden.

"Let's go!" Arthur screamed happily, and with that the childish game began.

Each of the children had wide smiles on their faces before long. It had been quite a while since they had all looked so happy.
