I confessed, the Scotland trip made me and Milla closer despite my suspicions on her. The chemistry made us kick it off quickly. We would text each other almost every day, talking girl's stuff, each other's interest or simply just because. She's a fan of indie music and enjoys songs by a local artist beabadoobee, Milla loves her single 'Coffee' the most. We could talk about each other favourites for days without getting tired of it.

I was beginning to feel comfortable sharing my thoughts or opinions with her in any discussions. But I still felt that I didn't deserve to hang out with her, I am just a plain Jane while she's what Abs would define as Brazzers Girl.

Abs' explainable amiability can be annoying especially when I know it was really me he's into. He visited my flat more often than before, either for a round of PES, Netflix or just for visits.

"You usually got tired of my pad," I said one day. "What's up?"

"Just tired of mine," he said frankly. "Yours not bad, though."

I mouthed 'oh' and leaned back to the chair. "Or are you up to something?"

"Are you insinuating that I am in it for something?" he felt slightly abashed. "Is this how you see me as a friend? Hadn't I come for you after I got to know you were taken to the MRI?"

I kept quiet, feeling ashamed of my actions accusing him. I knew that deep down he had other intentions to his chivalry, which was to meet Milla. As annoyed as I am, I enjoyed his company making me feel special to him.

My phone rang and I looked down to my phone to see Milla's caller ID on the screen. Abs' glanced at my phone and his face lit up. I answered and ignored the expression on his face.

"Hey, girl. You're alright? Did I catch you at a bad time?" she asked abruptly.

"Hey, sweets. No, you're not. I'm good. Why do you think that way?"

"Well, it took you longer to answer. I thought you were in the middle of something."

"No, I'm with Abs. He's here, hanging out at my place." I explained. Abs looked at me, eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Oh," she sounded flat. "He knows I call?"

"Yeah," I responded with less enthusiasm. "But carry on, how's things with you?"

"Tell her to come over!" Abs interrupted.

"What does he want?" Milla asked, overheard him.

"Nothing," my voice trailed off. "What are you up to?"

"Nothing much," she said and let out a pause before continued, "Let's meet up at Friendship Inn, tag him along. I'm curious to see this hunk guy you claimed him to be."

"You sure? Okay, then. Let me know when." I said.

"This evening is okay, though. Why let him wait? Besides, we both need to catch up."

We dropped the call and I looked at Abs. He had elation plastered across his face like a dog greeting his long-lost owner. I told him about the plan and he was all for it. He left my flat eagerly to get ready and we met at Friendship Inn by 7.00 in the evening.
