The said New Year's Eve party was at Christiano Ronaldo's former Alderley Edge mansion outside of the city centre and it was already packed with invitees, servers and entertainers when we arrived. The whole ambiance looked swank and majestic, like a grand celebration with expensive brews from all over the world.

The place was lit up with colourful streams of lights that ran parallel to the boundary wall making it simple yet elegant. An enclosed marquee in the middle of the back garden was ancillary to the occasion for people to get down on the dancefloor.

Wealthy and affluent guests dressed in black tie from designers you can't even pronounce. They mingled around with each other, discussing important matters spanning from businesses to politics, work, charities, investments or simply just whispering campaigns over to one another.

Nick ordered me to have some fun yet prohibited me from broadcasting this party on social media to avoid unnecessary attention. So, I refrain from using my phone and scanned around the property for any famous celebrities other than some familiar faces I knew from BBC while DJ Goldierocks mixing the music to appease the crowd.

That's when I saw Milla once again. She was in her emerald plunge lace open back bodycon dress looking as stunning as I remembered.

Nick and I were lounging in the guest living area by the fireplace with a couple American guys displaying a wooden box on the table with gold emblem on its glass lid, filled with what looks like some kind of expensive green cigars in glass tubes which I noticed wasn't the usual cigar I've seen before.

Milla sauntered in and joined us when Nick beckoned her near. She gently tapped her cheek against Nick's left and right for a friendly cheek-kiss before turning to me.

"Here's someone I haven't seen for a while," she beamed at me as though what happened at the party meant nothing.

We had a couple of pecks on both cheeks before I returned to my seat. I thought she would be surprised to see Nick and I had settled our dispute, but she remained her composure like she knew.

"Yeah, I decided to rescue her from being annihilated by a series of unstimulating spods," Nick joked looking at his iPhone.

"Typical ZJ," she remarked.

"What? Big Bang Theory is entertaining!" I objected, pinching on his arms playfully. "I'm going to clear off one of your Saturdays for the first two seasons."

"Don't try me," he chuckled, picking up one of the cigars from the wooden before nipping the tip of its burning end with a cigar cutter. "Here, I'm going to enlighten you on something better than that."

He handed me his nipped cigar. Its smell of dried earth and woody with some rosin undertones. Its outer layer was made of brownish green coloured leaves, assuming that it could be a candela cigar.

"What you have there in your hand, love, is a premium cannagar," Nick told me.

I looked at the cannagar in my hand with bewilderment. It's not that I haven't seen cannabis before, I have helped Abs grinding them countless times before he smoked it with his dab rig. But seeing a cannabis cigar was new to me, an upgrade into top-shelf weed to cater the standards of its consumer.

"Never seen it in my life," I said.

"Don't worry, darling. Nor have I," Milla gave an expressionless smile, sipping on her favourite Caipirinha.

"You can only get these in Washington state," one of the American guys explained. "Outside DC, they'd be selling normal blunt or Thai sticks."

I returned the cannagar to Nick as he passed it over to the American guy. The American guy lighted the cannagar with a small ignited jet lighter. He lifted the cannagar's end a few inches from the lighter, close enough to toast it like marshmallows, burning it evenly until smoke came up to light itself. He returned the burnt cannagar to Nick before Nick took it in his mouth, bent closer to the lighter to inhale a few puffs and leaned back.
