I marched into the compound, feeling half exhausted, half agitated and utterly humiliated by Nick's insensitive remarks thrown at me yesterday. He just crushed my feelings and had the audacity to call me the next day to come for work? How dare he? Effing heartless!

I arrived at the warehouse in my loose jeans, turtleneck jumpers and a jacket while the rest of the guys were in PPEs. I scanned around for areas that I could start to work on but it's clearly obvious that my mind and my heart unanimously wasn't up for anything.

"You're late. Aren't you going to put your suit on?" Nick's voice boomed from behind as he sauntered past me.

"The suit literally stinks my shirt," I bellowed.

"Fair enough," he nodded and went straight into the centre of the warehouse where the rest of the guys assembled.

Everyone was assigned with different tasks, some were assigned to unload the new consignments from the truck, some transported the consignments inside the warehouse, some sort the consignments according to regions, some needed to move around with the hand truck and pallet jack. While I was assigned to make sure the warehouse was free from any form of waste or rubbish.

Armed with a broom and a dustpan, I scouted around for any form of debris and trash sickening enough for me to annihilate but couldn't find any. The rubbish that I've collected was already piled up by the opening of the warehouse. I strode towards the pile with a trash bags in my hand and forcefully stuffed the rubbish in. Some of the waste refused to enter the bag so I kicked them in. But as I kicked hard, my feet aimlessly landed onto the side of the bag and its contents flowed out. I cursed.

I went on thrusted the rubbish back in and pulled the tie that was attached to the bag to secure its contents. I dragged the bag and piled it along with other trash bags on a hand truck. My angry heart cooled down in contentment for being able to complete the task in time. I could leave early, avoiding that asshole Nick for the day.

But I was too rushed into completing my tasks that I hardly noticed the tie of the trash bag wasn't secured well. As the bag toppled from the hand truck to the ground, its contents gushed out of the bag once again, leaving it half empty. I groaned and cursed in anger, pushing the hand truck to the side.

"Zahida, Zahida," Nick called out from behind. I turned my angry glance at him while a couple of guys with him observed my recklessness. "Once you're done ranting and raving against a pile of litter, I need you to bring the pallets in, please."

I didn't reply but to continue grunting and kicking the trash into the bag.

"Oi! What's wrong with you? Are you having your premens?" he snapped.

"I don't feel like talking," I grunted.

"Then stop talking and start working. That'll make you feel okay," he suggested.

"You're a total jackass!" I exploded. "How the hell do you expect me to be okay whenever we had an emotional argument the day before?!"

The warehouse suddenly went dead silent, all eyes were on us in puzzlement.

"Don't let your emotions control you," Nick advised. "They're the weakest link in the system."

"To hell with your talking about my emotions!" I yelled.

"But you're the one who initiated the talking," Nick argued.

"Faaarrk!" I screamed furiously.

Unbeknownst to me, my erupted anger just took control of my body. I was unaware that my feet and my hands had destructible powers causing severe damages to some small least harmful items that were within my reach. I smashed the glass, plastic bottles and empty boxes with a broomstick as my weapon of choice while kicking a pile of rubbish, pallets, haystack near me.

I heard Nick's voice cautioned me, "Don't get yourself hurt" and "Make sure to breathe" in between my raging battle.

Apparently, the force in me was so strong, the broomstick didn't make it until the end. It snapped in two and surrendered. That's when I too decided to stop. My head was throbbing from the constant spinning and yelling, my heart was beating rapidly from the energy projected through my wrath. I turned around for Nick and saw him staring back at me.

"Feeling better?" he asked, concern in his voice. "You're turning less green now?"

"Not really," I panted.

"Brill, may we continue, please? Or do you need a day off?"

"I quit." I said finally and chucking the defeated broomstick away.

"You can't quit on a year contract," he argued but I turned a deaf ear and walked towards the opening of the warehouse. "If you breach it, you owe the company three months your paycheck!"

"Try me!" I barked and stormed out of the warehouse.

From afar, I could hear a distant chatter behind me, "That's what happens when you have women in the labor force."
