I was shaken from my sleep by Nick's sudden shudder as he cupped his hands against my mouth. I bolted up, sensing something unsettling from the alarmed in his face. He slowly released my mouth and pressed his index finger against his lips.

"They're here!" he whispered.

My heart leaped in fear. It was clear that the consternation he anticipated had finally come to face us. "Where are they?" I asked.

"Downstairs, by the reception," he hissed. "Come with me."

I followed him from behind, commencing a run and hide. It was still dark outside, and I couldn't gauge the time, but I assumed it was before 6.00 am. I wasn't sure where we were heading, and I was beginning to feel exhausted by it. But I withhold my grumble as I entrusted Nick who knew his way around this building.

We exited the hall when I heard footfall of Hussaini's men approached near, making me panic while Nick held my hands to calm me down. We flit from one dark room to another, through a passageway that leads to another open hall with rows of tables and chairs arranged in uniform manner. There was an exit door at the far end of the hall and we need walk across the hall through these rows of furniture without making much sounds.

Nick ordered me to crawl under the table and I followed him through the exit door. But the footfall drew closer and Hussaini's men approached into the hall, stalling our movement. They scout around for any signs of movement before looking for the switch to turn on the lights for better visual.

That's when Nick ordered me to rush for the exit door and fled, attracting the men to notice our escape by the movement of the door swung open.

"Hey!" one of them shouted as we both leaped for a sprint towards the emergency staircase that leads to the backdoor of the building.

We both rushed out towards the disposal area at the back of the building and exited the building towards the car park space while the two men followed behind. But we misconstrued the car park to be empty when we saw Hussaini and his crew of three waiting for us in the spacious lot outside the back of the building, ready to pounce on us.
