Seth's POV

I watch in shock and horror as I see myself destroying everything. The video's gone viral. Comments are asking about who it is, some of my peers answering my name. There are people saying that it's just effects, greenscreen, but some swear that it's not. I know I have to do it, there's no other way. The Council's approved my idea, and it'll go into action in ten minutes. I have ten minutes to say goodbye to one person who I wish wouldn't forget. Felix'll remember, along with all the deities. But one person will forget all of us. Everyone's coming over to his house, including Felix, who'll be forgotten as well. I turn around, looking at all of our friends. Cass, Chara, Jack, and even Maze are here. Cass has already talked to Kelli, and they're going to stay together. Kelli will forget about me, but she'll remember everything else. Jack walks up next to me, his newly re-dyed brown hair being whipped around by the harsh wind. He puts a hand on my shoulder.

"You don't have to do it, Seth. I've already offered to say goodbye for you." I shake him off, and quickly ring the doorbell before I chicken out.

"It's ok, Sean. I've got this." I've started calling him by his real name, and he seems fine with it. Sam opens the door, quickly letting everyone in.

"Seth? What's going on?" I sigh.

"Can we go down to the basement?" Sam looks confused.

"S-sure, I guess..." We all troop down, a heavy depressing feeling draped over us. We all sit down at a small table in at the middle. Maze and Sean stay standing. "So what's all this about." Sean butts in, speaking before I can.

"You must've seen the video, Sam." Sam looks down and nods. My heart feels like it's being ripped apart. "The Council can't have that. The Council also doesn't want you and Seth being together. We've found a solution." I sigh, then speak.

"We've come to say goodbye, Sam." Maze steps into the conversation right after me.

"You know too much, Sam. We can't leave you with this information." Cass sounds heartbroken as she speaks.

"We're doing a mind wash, Sam." Cass closes her eyes then, to stop the tears.

Sam looks stunned. "Wh-what?"

Chara finishes it off. "You've met Demons, Angels, and even a Feind. You know way too much. And everyone around you knows that Seth is not human, so we have to wash all memories of him. You're going to forget Seth, me, everyone. Even Felix here." Felix steps forward.

"Sorry, bro. Brofist?" They give each other a fist bump, and Felix leaves. Maze gives Sam a respectful nod and dissipates. Cass opens her arms for a hug, and I see tears tracking down the Mortal's cheeks.

"Don't worry, Sam. You'll sort of remember me. I'm your best friend's girlfriend. I'm normal in both of your eyes, though." Sam nods once, then lets go of the Angel. Cass smiles sadly, and turns into light. Chara is already gone, unfortunately. Sam sniffles. Sean takes a step backwards, trying to get out of this. Sam dashes forwards and hugs Sean, surprising him. Then the Irishman smiles softly and holds Sam close, embracing the sobbing highschooler.

"It'll be ok, Sam. Don't worry..." Sam steps back, then grabs Sean's arm.

"C-come with m-me for a second." They rush upstairs.

A minute or two later, they come back downstairs, Mark following them. A ton of papers are in Sam's arms. Sean looks stunned.

"T-thank you." I realize what's happening.

"Take care of him for me." They hug one last time, until Sam realizes that he's holding empty air. He turns to me.

"Do you have to go? Couldn't you work something out? Can't you stay another week? Another day? Another-" I shake my head.

"It's now, Sam. I don't have a choice." I choke on my words, realizing that the things on my face are tears, flowing fast and warm.

"I... I don't want you to go. I want to remember. I want-"

"We can't always have what we want. We have to let go." Sam rushes at me, wanting to hug me or kiss me or something, but I hold out a hand to stop him.

"W-why?" He pleads. Begging me. I hate it.

"It'll be better this way."

"For what? For who? Who is this benefiting in any way?" He sounds angry now. I feel the same.

"No one. But it needs to happen."

"But why-" I snap at him.

"Stop being so selfish, Sam! It needs to happen!" Sam turns away, hurt. I look away as well. "Look, Sam. I'm sorry. But it just needs to happen." Sam walks towards me, and this time, I don't stop his kiss.

It's agonizingly slow. Sweet and remorseful. His lips are salty with tears, and I want more. But I pull away.

"I love you, Seth." I wish words would come out. When they do, they aren't what I wish they are.

"I know." Then I'm gone.
