In the distance we saw lights begin to go on as the sun was setting, Foxy had grown quiet now that the others left and were probably drained of their energy if nightmare found them. We headed for the town curious what seemed to be wrong, as we neared the town we saw cars had been attacked by some unknown creature. The amount of wreckage was scary, my Nightmarione form would do more damage but right now it was in a slumber from the needle which was slowly wearing off. I looked at the tube that held James restless soul and knew he needed a body that nightmare had too many of, as we reached the town we heard distant screams and the roar of one of Nightmares little toys. Instantly golden Freddy and shadow Freddy kept on high alert as I was vulnerable with my Nightmarione form in its slumber, up ahead a car went flying. Around the corner came a terrifying version of Freddy, I kept a tight hold of the tube knowing that it would target me first. Golden Freddy shifted into his nightmare form and gave it a challenging roar, it faced us and three tiny versions of itself moved to its feet their mouths opened ready to bite. Foxy froze in fear, he had grown jumpy after Freddy and the other abandoned us but I couldn't blame him. Golden Freddy charged at the nightmare Freddy and the two embraced in a battle, the little fredlets came for me and James's soul. I used what little power I had to fend them off for a bit but shadow Freddy tore them in half once they got close, golden Freddy needed help so I nodded to shadow Freddy and fled with foxy to find a hiding place. They would find us later but I didn't want to risk an ambush, we came across hiding humans and left them be to show we were no harm. Finally we found a hiding place and nightmare got into my head even though he was far away, it hurt and foxy had to hold James's tube or I would have dropped it.
"I have your so called friends Nightmarione let me see Freddy, bonnie and chica and what's this they have with them? Oh they have what I need even if it's not the soul of that dead human it's enough to find you so start hiding because I'm seeking," came a loud voice in my head, Foxy was confused and scared as nightmare targeted me alone. Golden Freddy and shadow Freddy finally found us just having extra scars, I sat down and sighed.
"Nightmare has Freddy and the others and he's after me," I sighed suddenly an idea hit my head, shadow Freddy knew he wasn't going to like it.
"Well spit it out then," shadow Freddy sighed, I giggled.
"Ok so nightmare wants me if I mislead him up the mountain away from the town he will go there but I will teleport to you once he follows the bait, you must keep James's soul safe ok I trust you all, I am more powerful and vulnerable so he will target me first, keep heading further south I can tell where you are thanks to shadow Freddy now let's go before nightmare tracks us down," I explained, shadow Freddy didn't like it but he agreed. It was risky while I was vulnerable, but if it kept them safe I was willing to risk it. I began to head away from the town, I watched the others head south while I went west to lead nightmare on. I could tell he was already nearing from my Nightmarione beginning to stir, I left traces of my powers as though I was exhausted and unable to control myself. It was risky with my Nightmarione stirring but I needed to do it, being alone to control it I had no comfort there for me but I held on to keep the others safe. I transformed myself to make it seem like I lost control, I had full control but I still left power leaks. I reached the top of the hill and saw a glint of red signalling he was falling for the bait, he must have seen me because he was heading faster. I would lead him on until well after dark when I could hide, I did a few teleportation fails and kept on draining my power doing it. I looked back and saw the red eyes of nightmare hot on my trail, if he captured me I would have seconds to get away. Nightmare must be desperate to get me as he was hurrying as though sensing that I knew of his presence, I collapsed and let my power seem faded. I would have seconds to vanish before he figured out my trick, Shadow Freddy was worrying about me I could tell from the fact that his power was everywhere at the moment. Nightmare was now right next to me, I could tell he felt proud.
"Haha you fool!" He laughed, little did he know I wasn't a fool but a genius. At the moment he went to stab me with the strange needle again I teleported as he struck it in my shoulder, I stumbled as I appeared near shadow Freddy. I had been slightly too late as I was now as bad as when I led nightmare to the lodge and he killed James, Foxy seemed worried.
"He fell for it," I laughed and collapsed, nightmare had used something different this time. Pain went all throughout my body, I kept myself quiet to keep us hidden.
"Marionette you need to stop getting jabbed by strange needles," Shadow Freddy joked picking me up, I gave a huff trying to ease my pain. I could tell nightmare was furious by his energy flow that connected us, he would be on our trail again soon so we hurried. My Nightmarione form wanted out, I grunted and didn't allow it to gain control. We would have to travel non stop now, either that or face nightmare and his growing army.
