Rain trickled from the sky as a recent storm passed, I stood having woken up early. Shadow Freddy began to stir, I took no notice of the chilled air. With nightmare back everything was still, it was as though the world had shut itself away until the day I would challenge him. I left the cave in which we hid in, I began to walk amongst some trees. I was filled with a sudden anger, I took this anger out by knocking some trees over. I jumped and spun hearing a twig snap, turns out shadow Freddy followed me.
"Y-you ok puppet?" He questioned his eyes soft, I sighed controlling myself.
"I'm fine, it's just that......... I can't believe after all these years he returned.......... will I ever be truly free of him?" I half questioned myself, shadow Freddy put his hand on my shoulder.
"Stay strong marionette, if you faulted in front of the others they would loose their faith in you, we will rid him from the world one day, you've suffered enough and the only way to truly be rid of him is to destroy his body once it lays lifeless, the coming war won't be easy to win, that I know, I have faith in you puppet don't forget we will stand by you forever, mother," shadow Freddy comforted, I gave him a half smile but nothing could hide the fear that rose in my chest like wildfire. Shadow Freddy left to go wake the others, the twisted ones would find us soon enough. When pain shot through my head I knew nightmare was close, his voice hadn't changed.
"Eye spy with my blood red eye, a puppet with no strings," came his blood chilling voice, his laugh broke out and it sounded all around me. I turned trying to locate him, suddenly a force knocked me to my knees and I was being held. I looked behind me to see a twisted Freddy and twisted golden Freddy holding me down, I attempted to free myself but with both of them having the force of Nightmares power I failed to free myself.
"Ahh why hello again puppet, it's been FAR too long, those children of yours really look up to you don't they? Well what would happen if I made you watch as I devoured their souls? Would you try to get free? Would you try to kill me again? Hmmm so many options but, only one will suit you, you would flee until your worthless power was strong enough, when I find them I will make you watch as I turn their souls into power, you will suffer for what you caused me, twisted ones do whatever you want with her, once they hear her shrieks of agony they will come right into my claws," Nightmare sounded as though he could drone on and on about revenge, immediately I was thrown about and torn like a toy they wanted to rip to shreds. I held back my shrieks of pain, if I made any noise that signalled any harm my children would come to find me. I couldn't let my children suffer by Nightmares hands, he watched in amusement as the twisted ones tore and threw me about. I hit the ground my strength fading, the twisted ones circled me their red eyes hungry. I attempted to get up but was smacked down by one of them, I coughed and tried to crawl instead. Twisted foxy dug his hook into my leg and dragged me back, I could barely take the amount of pain I was in. Nightmare watched his eyes glinting with amusement at how persistent I was to keep my children safe, no matter what I couldn't let them suffer. Twisted wolf dug his fangs into my side and shook me from side to side like a stuffed toy, I flew into a tree and was hit by a wave of pain. I tried to lift myself up but collapsed coughing, blood welled from my wounds. The twisted ones circled me and let nightmare passed, he knelt before me victory in his gaze.
"You refuse to let the others hear you, your a persistent puppet aren't you, all these years your still allowing yourself to be tormented to keep them safe when if you let them come you wouldn't have to worry for them anymore, twisted ones continue your play but don't kill her, she's important for my plans," Nightmare walked back to his spot where he sat to watch, I stood and faced the twisted ones as weak as I was. Twisted wolf lunged at my legs to try and knock me off my feet, I sidestepped and he crashed into a tree. Twisted foxy took advantage and used his hook to swipe me off my feet, I landed with a thud and all strength was knocked out of me. Twisted wolf pinned me down his fangs dripping with my blood, my power failed to work as Nightmare was using his power to hide us and made it so mine were trapped. Twisted wolf finally let me have a chance to stand again, I stood my eyes blazing with hope. Twisted bonnie leapt at me, I swiped my claws across his face. He stumbled back shallow gashes on his cheek, this drove him mad. He lunged again and I dodged and swiped, I scored again as strength drained as I was I wasn't going to stand by and do nothing while they tormented me. Twisted Freddy made a lunge but he got the same results, twisted foxy and twisted wolf looked at each other and lunged at the same time. Since they leapt from different angles and at the same time I couldn't dodged their sharp claws and fangs, twisted foxy dug his hook into my arm and dragged me down. Twisted wolf dug his teeth into my leg, I had to stop myself from screeching. The pain was almost unbearable, the other twisted ones began to score deep gashes along my sides and one got their claws across my face. They then stepped back in a circle as I lay bleeding and half dead, I was on the verge of blacking out. Through my mind I sent them a message, luckily Nightmare couldn't tell what I did.
"I'm not ok.......... don't come and find me........... Nightmare set a trap........... run far away......... we will meet again but your safety is my only priority........... run........" I managed to say to shadow Freddy as we were still connected slightly, I could sense his fear but I knew he would keep them safe. Finally I gave in, all I could see was darkness.
Yeah yeah I can hear complaints "but Nightmare was killed so many times why can't he stay dead!" Well to answer that it's as simple as this, he is a soul eater and he don't wanna die. With enough souls and his body not destroyed he can return whenever he wants, plus I can't think of any new enemies so shut ya faces and get used to it.
