Birds chirped and morning winds blew. Avneil slept in each other's arms protecting the other one. As the sun rays peeped in from the window avni stirred.

She rubbed her eyes to adjust to the light when her eyes fell on her sleeping husband. It was not a usual sight for her to see Neil sleeping Since he was accustomed to get up early in the morning owing to his daily exercise routine.

Avni studied his sleep face. His hazel brown eyes were under the cover of eyelids. His pink lips showed a content smile. His light beard added more handsomeness to his already handsome face.

Avni smiled to herself. Since the time prerna has told her about the 'love feeling' she found Neil even more attractive than before. Her fingers itched to go and caress his face but she refrained herself fearing that he will wake up.

She realized their position. Neil had his arm wrapped around her upper back while her head and hand were on his chest. She smiled. Flashes of last night's moment came into her head. She blushed.

Avni: (to herself) Tu bhi na avni... Neil ke baare mein sochte hi laal ho jati hai... (Smiling) kitna hot hai yeh... Haaye... Kahi meri hi nazar na lag jaaye... (Giggles)

As she was admiring her husband Neil stirred in sleep. Avni wanted to get up but finding no time she laid back closing her eyes pretending sleep.

Neil opened his eyes looking at wall clock on the front wall he sighed.

Neil: 8 baj gye...

As he was about to get up his eyes went to his wife who laid there with a cute pout. She had tinge of blush on her cheeks.

He smiled at her. He leaned towards her and stopped few centimeters away from her face. He took his right hand and traced the outline of her cheek with index finger. Her eyes showed some movements.

He smirked and continued. Leaning forward he placed a light kiss on her cheek.

Avni who was pretending to sleep at once opened her eyes and sat straight.

Avni: yeh kya kar rahe the tum? Mere nind mein hone ka faayda utha rahe the kya? (Scared and Innocent)

Neil: accha...? sone ka natak kar rahi thi na tum... (Raising his eyebrow)

Avni: nahi... Main.. Main to abhi abhi uthi... (Looking here and there)

Neil kept on looking straight to her face.

Avni: tumhe kaise pata ki main natak kar rahi thi?

Neil: woh... Hot hoon na main... (Winks)

Avni's eyes widen of shock she realised Neil was acting to sleep all the while she was busy adoring him. She felt embarrassed and bit her lip nervously.

Neil saw each and every action keenly. He so knew that this girl will be his death one day...

Neil: (in mind) koi itna cute, hot aur beautiful ek time pe kaise ho sakta hai... (Smiles)

Avni who saw Neil staring her felt conscious. She adjusted her hair flick that came out of her braid, behind the ear and fiddled with the duvet end.

Avni: woh... I'm sorry... Main... Main jati hoon....

She got down the bed and left hurriedly.

Neil sat there looking at her go.

Neil: (rubbing the back of his neck) yeh ladki bhi na... Ajooba hi hai ... Ek dam unique piece.. koi to isko samjhao ki iska khud ka pati hoon... dekh sakti hai yeh mujhe.. (giggles)

The day went usual with no significant thing happening. Gautam and gauri too were there only. Everyone had a nice time bonding to each other.

That evening they had invited the Mehta family for dinner.

As they arrived they greeted khannas and sat in the hall.

Gautam and Gauri came from their room.

Neil introduced Gautam to mehtas.

Gauri who was standing near Gautam got excited seeing the baby in prerna's arms. She rushed to him.

Avni: Gauri... Baccha araam se..

Gauri: angel chachi... Dekho na yeh baby kitna chota sa hai... Aur cute bhi... (Smiling)

She wanted to touch him but avni stopped.

Avni: baccha hum baby ke saath khelenge bhi aur usse dekhenge bhi lekin pehle chalo... Hand wash kar ke aaye...

Gauri: okay...

She was very happy and excited. Soon the baby was taken away by avni and Gauri who were busy playing with him.

All others smiled at their bond.

Anurag who was sitting opposite to Gautam had a queer expression on his face.

The ladies went to the kitchen to get the dinner ready.

Bebe and dayawanti sat there chatting. Avni and Gauri were busy playing.

Neil had to go for an urgent call.

Seeing Gautam alone Anurag went to him.

Anurag: Gautam... (Studying him)

Gautam gave a nervous smile and looked away at Gauri.

Anurag: don't mind brother but tum na mujhe kuch zyada hi familiar se lag rahe ho... (Scrutinizing gaze)

Gautam swallowed a lump down his throat. He started nervously.

Gautam: aisa ... kaise ho sakta hai sir.... (Smile) hum to pehli baar mile hai na...

Anurag: mile to pehli baar hai par...

He could not continue as shweta called them for dinner.

Gautam left hurriedly.

Anurag: pata nahi kyu... Par...

He hushed away his thoughts and joined family for dinner.

Soon after the dinner the Mehta family left and everyone settled in the rooms.

Avni was walking to and fro in the room waiting for Neil to come.

Avni: (to herself) avni... aaj baat kar lena.. par aisa saamne se usko yeh sawal thode puch sakti hoon... Arrgh!! kuch samajh nahi aa raha kya karu main. (sighs)

Just then Neil enters the room. He saw Avni tensed and frowned.

Neil: Avni.. (she turns) sab theek hai na? everythingh okay? tensed kyu ho?

Avni: nahi woh.. main tensed nahi hoon bas.. kuch soch rahi thi... 

Neil nods and went to the bed. He was about to lay down when avni interrupted.

Avni: Neil.. mujhe kuch baat karni hai...

Neil: haan bolo..

Avni: (nervously) woh.. Main bol rahi thi ki... bhabhi keh rahi thi ki... tum mujhse... mera matlab main...

She was interrupted by a phone ring.

Neil saw the caller ID and immediately got up.

Neil: Avni... hum baad mein baat karte hai... yeh zaruri call hai police station se...

Avni nods lightly.

Neil took few files from the table and left for study room.

Avni stood there clenching her fist.

Avni: urrgh!! police station  hai ki meri sautan? ab bolo main apne pati ke saath chain se baat bhi nahi kar sakti iski wajah se... aur yeh Neil bhi... khaak pyaar karta hoga mujhse... jab dekho tab to police station aur files mein padha rehta hai...

She stomped her foot and went to bed.

After about half an hour neil came to the room only to find her sleeping.

Neil: pata nahi kya baat karni thi avni ko.. khair chodo..

He layed on his side and soon dozed off.

The days passed. Gautam and Gauri had to go to bangalore for some paper work. 

Avni had tried hard to talk to Neil but eavh time either phone call interrupts or Neil had to leave. She even tried to to speak to him at police station taking lunches for him but still no avail. 

Neil on the other side wanted to talk to Avni but his Schedule was hecitc. Almost all of the day he had to be on field visits.

One fine evening Avni came home fully frustrated after another failed attempt to talk to her own husband. professionally she was awarded extra works to do since the company had been busy for a while.

Keeping her bag on a chair and taking a glass of water she called out for bheema. Bheema came rubbing her hands with her apron.

Avni: bheema di mere liye please ek strong coffee banado.. room mein de dena...

Bheema nods and went to the kitchen.

Avni left to her room. taking a quick shower she sat on couch waiting for her coffee.

Avni: yeh bheema abhi tak aayi kyu nahi... coffee banane gyi hai yaan ugaane? (irritated) 

Even after waiting for 10 more minutes when Bheema didn't showed up she went to the kitchen.

 avni: Bheema meri coffee bani ke nahi... 

As she entered the kitchen she found in empty.

Avni: bheema to yaha hai hi nahi.

Her eyes fell on a coffee cup near the stove.

Avni: (sighs) yeh dekhlo isse .. bana ke rakh gyi hai..

She took the coffee cup and went to her room.

After some time Neil returned home. He saw prakash and Shweta sitting in the hall.

Shweta: Tillu you backs... Chal accha hai... Avni bhi na napne kamre mein hai ... mujhe bebe aur prakash ji ko na kisi function mein jana hai... tum khana kha lena theek hai?

Neil nods. Shweta went inside after bebe's call while Neil sat with prakash who was looking sad.

Neil: kya baat hai dad? sab theek hai? aise kyu baithe ho?

Prakash: (sad) kaddu theek hoon main...

Neil: hua kya hai dad?

Prakash: teri maa na mujhe zabardasti us function mein le jaa rahi hai.. kehti hai... ji sab log apne spouse ke saath aa rahe hai..(mimicking shweta)

Neil giggles. 

Neil: come on dad.. agar sab ke husband aa rahe hai phir to aapko company mil hi jaayegi na..

Prakash: company.. (rolling eyes) ek woh Mr. Singh hai.. meri jaan ka dushman.. jootha kar deta hai mujhe... (Neil giggles) arrey do akshar bolta hai aur chaar litre saliva phenkta hai...

Neil: (laughing) come on dad... aap enjoy kar sakte hai na.. (pressing his lips to control laaugh)

Prakash: haan.. has le beta hasle.... ruk tujhe main batata hoon...

Neil got up and was about to run when shweta and bebe came out.

Bebe: oye sunny... yeh kya kar rahe the tum dono? bacche ho kya?

Neil: nahi Bebe woh dad keh rahe the ki...

Prakash: (placing hand on neil's mouth) humein der ho rahi hai... chalein shweta ji... bebe... (smiling)

Shweta: oh yess.. chal tillu apna khayal rakhna.. chalo prakash ji.. chalo bebe...

Neil smiles and waved them bye...

Prakash: (whispers to neil)  tujhe to main aake dekhta hoon...

Neil: okay dad... (toothy grin) Mr. Singh  ke saath enjoy karna...

Prakash: teri...

Neil ran away giggling.

Prakash: hey mata rani.. meri raksha karna... (looking upwards)

Shweta: (calling from outside) Prakash ji.. gaadi ghar ke andar nahi aayegi... chalo na...

prakash went.

Neil reached his room. He found avni standing in front of mirror with a stern gaze.

Neil: avni... kya kar rahi ho?

Avni looks on in the mirror.
