At this point, Max and Marinette have been together for  over  two years.  As for Adrien, he still loves Marinette, but does not try to interfere with her relationship with Max.  Adrien does not want to mess things up for them as much as it pains him for them to be together.  He is just that sort of guy.

    Out of the blew, Max drops a big one on her!  "Marinette, I have to move!  It is my dream to be an anchor man, and now is my chance to finally do this!  I  got the job and I am to start really soon!"  Max says.

   "Oh, I will miss you so much then,"  Marinette says.  She only wishes he would propose so she would have a good excuse to go with him.

  "You sure you do not want to come too?"  Max ask.

   "Sorry, I can not.  My life is here, my job, everything. " Marinette says.

   "Oh, in that case, I will miss you bunches, too then."  Max says.  He tries not to show his disappointment.

   "I  promise to keep in touch though, Marinette!"  Max says.

   "Yes, me too!  I mean, I will keep in touch as well."  Marinette tells him.

      Max gives her a quick hug by and leaves. Marinette goes home next.  She looks at Tikki and says,  "I miss him already!  I still can not believe he has to move, so far away!  I mean why did he up and move to America?"  

    "Marinette, I am sure it will be just fine,"  Tikki says.

    "I sure hope you are right."  Marinette remarks.

    While he is away,  Marinette and Max correspond through letters, and phone calls.  The two are still happy and do their best to make this work.

    Adrien the poor guy never got over Marinette. He stays in Paris though and gets himself a  local job.  He does not try to pursue her though as he now sees her as Max's  girl, and the one far from his reach. He only hopes Max can truly make her happy as he never could.  He does not know about the struggles  Max and Marinette face now that Max is no longer lives in Paris, France.
