It is the New Year!  She knows it is true. All the banners show it, and there is a parade too.

    Normally, it is exciting for her.  Not tonight though this time is different, and she knows it.  

     Tikki sighs as she remembers how she lost Plagg. It has not been the same since he chose someone else. She longs to be in his arms. To have him speak to her and to have him confess his love for her.  She believes it is too late. She recalls how he was seen in Times Square in New York on one knee. 

      "Yep, any chance I had, and it is all gone now!" 

      "Tikki, time to come inside the party is about to start!"

       "Yes, mother, I will be right there."
