I got home and mom and dad welcomed me home with a kiss on the forehead (as always). I rushed upstairs to get ready for our meeting. After I got ready, there was a ring on our door so I answered it.
"Hey, Tessa!" He said with a bug smile.
"H-hey!" I mumbled.
"Um, may I come in?"
"Oh, of course but my parents are here so..."
"It's fine. I'm sure we all have the same parents."
"Sweetie! Who is this?" My mom asked.
"This is Luis Anderson, mom. He's my partner for this project."
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Silverstein!" Luis greeted them.
"Oh, hello there, dear! Say, isn't he your cr--"
"Mom, shut up..." I quickly stopped her from saying the 'C' word.
"Hmmm...say, have you been taking any drugs lately?" My dad asked.
"U-uh, n-no sir!" Luis said in a nervous voice.
"DAD! Were 15!"
"I'm just making sure, sweetie." Then he rubbed my head like he always do when I was five.
After I groaned at my dad like he did something wrong and he did, Luis and I went upstairs to talk about the project peacefully.
"Sorry about that. My dad is a cop and its his 'duty' to keep me safe. Unfortunately, he's overprotective."
"I-its ok. I do envy your parents though because my parents never been that protective..." I wanted to ask him why but that might make him uncomfortable. So we just talked about the project instead. An hour later, we finished our schedule on when to make our project.
"So Tessa, meet you here, and together, we will go to the beach to work on the project, right?"
"Absolutely!"
"Great! Well, see you tomorrow!" He waved at me.
"Bye!" I waved back at him.
Wow! The first time my parents meet him. That really worked out great! *inserts sarcasm
