Finally, A Priest!

I dove in the water, which the bird flew up from, probably afraid of getting it's wings wet. Good for me, I guess. I then realized if I swam to the surface, it could simply pick me up, and I needed air eventually. I disregarded the previous notion.

I swam up, though only enough to grab the sword and swim back down. I stayed under for five more seconds before not being able to bear it anymore (or at least without drowning) and swam up. The bird was waiting. It picked me up, but I slashed the things wing, causing it to drop me. I landed in the lake again, along with Hippogirff over there. I finally got a chance to swim out and did just that and held my sword firmly. But the thing didn't come back up.

I determined that the bird wasn't able to swim back after a full thirty seconds of waiting. I breathed a sigh of relief and I walked away.

"Got any clues yet?" I asked Andrew, laying down on the bed. He shook his head and I wondered how long we would stay here, and how long we would be away from our families. At that moment, Evan came through the door, a wide grin on his face. "I have found a priest!" He exclaimed triumphantly.

I threw my hands up in the air, then groaned at the pain.

"You know, I'm gonna be excited later. I need to rest from being attacked from giant bird things. G' night." I fell onto the bed spread eagled. Lots of puns intended.

Evan pulled me off the bed and flourished to the priest. He was pretty short, about up to my chest, and he had no hair, blue eyes, and a beard that fell down to his mid-chest. I waved. "Hope ye been having a nice day, lass." He sounded very Scottish, though you were probably able to gleam that.

I nodded at his question and he nodded back and we stayed there in awkward silence. We occasionally tried to break it, but it only lasted a couple of seconds.

"Hey, shouldn't we have moved on from this town by now? I mean, we found a priest, why can't we just go? I feel like we should probably go to find more clues about Nathan Moore and we haven't done very much of that. At least, not here, and Nathan has probably gained a ton of time from this." Andrew suggested.

I thoght about it for a second. But, the priest asked a question that wasn't very simple.

"Who is Nathan Moore?" he asked. I sighed. Evan hadn't told him. "He's basically a necromancer who is trying to bring his wife back to life using necromancy, but that will break every law of physics, potentionally dooming the universe, and, if not, it will change the laws of physics, leaving billions dead." I explained to him. His eyes had been widening this entire time, and now they were practically bulging out of his head.

He sat down on his head and started rubbing his temples. "Yeah, it can be a lot to take in." Andrew said, surprisingly encouraging. We took a while to explain everything to him.

OK, so I know it has been a while since I published anything. And I have no excuses outside of me being lazy. Sorry if the ending was kind of abrupt. Hugs and flames, Phoenix.
