The "Magic Guy Person Thing"

Jen and Andrew were worried that my injury was a bit bad, despite me telling them I'd be OK. (Oh, and Jen says I have to write this because I remember more of it. I mean, in her defense, she was drunk during most of this so...)

Andrew suggested there was probably a, and I remember what he said exactly, "A magic guy person thing who can fix you up." Me and Jen burst into laughter. It has long since become a joke in our group to end something with "guy person thing."

But Jen figured he was right and we split up to try to find someone. Jen went to the tavern, Andrew went to the inn, and I went to the market. Andrew also went to the inn so he could try to get us some rooms so we'd have somewhere to stay and look around for Nathan Moore. Wait, did Jen tell you about him?

Apparently she missed out on a pretty important detail, because Nathan Moore is the entire reason we are here in the first place. You see, from what we can gather, he is a guy who is trying to get his wife back using necromancy... problem is, there is only one spell that can do that, and it will break all of reality, fracturing everything and making it so nothing works and reality will just... stop. Or, it could make it so that it doesn't stop, but the laws of physics are completely different. And that could end up killing everyone that exists. We aren't sure if he is aware of this, or if he's insane, or if he's just willing to go REALLY  far for his wife to be alive again.

Now, back to where we were. I went into the market. I found some stuff that I thought would be useful (some poison, three healing potions, and a gold coin on the ground) and bought it all. Except for that gold coin, which I just picked up. I bought it all, which was somewhat expensive, but I figured it could save someone's life. Then I thought about using the healing potion, but I realized that that only works if you drink the entire thing, and this potion was extremely potent, enough to almost bring someone from beyond the veil. So, no use wasting it on me when I could just pay a small fee for a healing spell from some Magic Guy Person Thing.

I wandered around, asking stuff like, "Do you know a healer?" and... actually, that was it, since I only asked one person before they answered with, "Yes." She was a woman, maybe mid 30s, long dark hair, and blue eyes.

"Great. Uh, where is he or she located?" I asked her. She chuckled.

"OK, so there's a tower in the middle of town. Made out of chiseled stone. Hard to miss. 'Bout twenty feet tall. On the bottom floor, there's a woman who'll give you some better directions." I thanked her and strolled out of the marketplace happily.

I went to the tavern to tell Jen, and found her stumbling around, babbling nonsense to the people close to her.

"Jen?" I asked her. "Did y-you know that elephants are blue?" she responded, a crazed look in her eyes. I didn't know how she had gotten this drunk this fast, but she was very drunk. I sighed heavily.

"We should get you to the i-..." I was cut off by a door slamming open and a blue ball of energy hitting a wall. Everyone in the bar was caught off guard and frightened by this, I had given my weapons to Andrew to put in our room(s), and Jen was very drunk. What I thought this meant was we were very fucked. But then I had an idea.

"Give me all the earnings you have." Random Robber person said.

I looked around for one and saw one on the table. I inched silently closer to that table. Then, he looked away. Great.

I grabbed the bottle on the table, ran up to him as fast as elvenly possible, and smashed the bottle over his head. He turned around a fireball was in his hand, which looked like it was about to launch into my... actually, I can't think of a single place where itwould've not hit. Luckily, I still had a very sharp half of a glass bottle.

I... for lack of a better term, stabbed him with it, and his consciousness seemed to be waning. The fireball burned a little less brighter. I did this twice more until he was just out cold, and the fireball blinked out of existence.

That felt awesome.
