Rex was soundly sleeping unti Leo came on the comm. "Up and at 'em ladies! Get your gear and weapons."

"Ughhhhhh..." Rex groaned as he sat up from his bed. "Could you be any more louder?"

He then gathered all his armor and weapons and went to the bridge where he sat down behind Leo and Kal'roq.

"So what's our destination?" Rex inquires.

Leo looks at him over his shoulder and smirks. "You're about to find out in 3...2...1..." The Rogue Shadow then pulls out of hyperspace and Rex widens his eyes.

"Meet the Giant Circle. Nice 'ring' to it, huh?" Leo chuckles jabbing Kal'roq's shoulder who laughs as well.

"That's not just a ring guys. That's a Halo." Rex states. The human and Elite duo stop laughing.

"A H-Halo?" Leo stutters.

<By the gods, I have never seen one in the years I gave my life and labor to the Covenant.> Kal'roq breathes.

"I'm amazed that one of these things is even still around after the end of the War..." Rex admits. "Still, it's as good a place as any to repair and lay low for a while. Maybe we can even find some weapons on the ring the Forerunners left behind."

"Your call, pal." Leo nods. As the ship then enters the atmosphere of the ring, the three then take in the sights of the Halo.

"You know, aside from these things having the power to destroy life on a humongous radius, you can't fault the Forunners aspect of beauty..." Leo chuckles.

Wade then walks in with Rellia and B1. "And also the fact that everything is artificial."

"So beautiful...." Rellia breathes.

Rex then spots something. "Hey, what's that down there?"

"No clue." Leo shrugs. "But, seems as good a place as any to lay low. Let's take her down Kal."

The Rogue Shadow then zooms downward and activates its landing gear. Once rested, Rex, B1, and Wade make their way outside, keeping their weapons at the ready. Leo grabs his railgun as he walks down the ramp and looks at the tower.

"We should probably scout this place." Wade suggests. "Last thing we need is something hiding here and then jumping us out of nowhere."

"Agreed." Rex nods. "B1, you stay with Kal'roq and Rellia and guard the ship. Me, Leo, and Wade are gonna check this place out."

"ME?! STAY WITH THAT TEMPERMENTAL ALIEN?!" B1 cries.

<I am not tempermental!> Kal'roq shouts through the radio.

"Just don't do anything to make him mad. Okay?" Rex says as then walks away.

"Kal, keep the ship cloaked!" Leo shouts.

Wade and Leo then follow Rex as they walk into the tower. Wade traces his fingers along the structure of the wall. "Man, the Forerunners were some mysterious people."

"No kidding..." Leo agrees.

Rex notices a panel of some kind in the middle of the room. He walks to it and presses the button in the center. Suddenly the air underneath the floor hisses and the platform he was standing on begins to lower.

"Whoa, what happened?" Rex asks as the platform continues to lower.

"I think you activated an elevator." Wade states as he and Leo hop on the platform. The elevator continues to descend until they reach the ground floor.

The trio takes in the interior of the room. There was a large bridge of light a few feet ahead of them that extended out towards the end of the room.

Rex stepped off the platform and looked down the bridge and saw the end of the tunnel. "Let's see where you go..."

"Rex, hold up man." Rex looks at Wade. "I'm getting an uncomfortable feeling about this."

"Yeah, I gotta agree with Blue Boy." Leo admits. "Maybe coming to this Ring was a mistake."

"We've come this far, we might as well see what this place is." Rex then makes his way down the bridge without a second thought. Leo and Wade look at each other before catching up to Rex and following him.

Leo looks down the bridge and whistles. "That's a long drop."

Wade follows his gaze and gulps. "Never been a fan of heights."

"How can you be afraid of heights over a bridge but not when we're in a ship shooting through the sky?" Rex inquires.

"Don't judge me!" Wade snaps making Leo snicker.

As they then reach the end of the bridge, they walk through the tunnel and are shocked at what they see.

"Holy mother of..." Leo gasps.

"How are the Covenant here?!" Wade shouts.

"Guys, I don't think we should be worried about that now." Rex says making Leo and Wade look at him. "The question isn't 'how are the Covenant here', it's 'how are the Covenant DEAD'?"

Leo and Wade widen their eyes and realize he was right. Large metal clanking is then heard and the three then raise their weapons. Out of the shadows then come silver-like figures with large large blue blades and weapons.

There were at least a few dozen and they surrounded the trio.

Rex, Leo, and Wade were back-to-back as they watched the robots advance towards them step after step.

The robots all stop and just stare at them.

"What's the move, Rex?" Leo says aiming at one of the robots.

"Put 'em down, guys." Rex orders.

"What?! Rex we can take these things!" Wade insists.

"Trust me. If they wanted to kill us, they would've already done it. Just put them on the ground." Rex says dropping his weapons and kneeling, hands raised.

Leo grunts in annoyance as he drops his railgun as does Wade with his plasma rifles and rocket launcher.

Three robots then step forward and cuff them. Rex, Wade, and Leo are then brought to their feet and led to somewhere else in the tower.
