(Ruby's POV)

Me, Sonic, Shadow, and Silver made it back to HQ of the resistance.

Knuckles: Hey guys. Good to see the new recruit is fine.

Silver: Thanks sir. I'm glad that I can join and be of help.

I don't think Silver should have called Knuckles sir. Knuckles looked really proud of himself. Sonic walked up to him.

Sonic: He called you sir. Don't let it get to that thick head of yours.

Knuckles: Just let me have this moment.

I looked around and my team and team JNPR wasn't here.

Ruby: Where is everyone?

Tails: They are out looking for anyone that will join.

Silver: Let's hope that more people want to fight against Infinite.

Tails walked up to me.

Tails: Can you come with me?

Ruby: Sure.

We started to walk together and we walked into a room. It looked like a lab of some kind.

Ruby: Woah! This place looks so cool!

I ran over to some of the tools that are on a table.

Ruby: What do these do?!

Tails: Please don't touch those. They are still prototypes.

Ruby: So why did you bring me in here?

Tails: I need your Phantom Ruby.

I reached for my pocket and pulled it out. I walked over to Tails and handed it to him.

Tails: Thank you.

He walked over to a machine and put the Phantom Ruby in.

Ruby: What is this machine for?

Tails: This is an energy reading machine. I need to know how the Phantom Ruby works. Right now the Phantom Ruby isn't giving off any energy.

He started to push some buttons. The machine started to light up.

Tails: Weird. Still nothing from the Phantom Ruby.

I heard the door open. I looked back to see Sonic.

Sonic: Ruby, I need you right now.

Ruby: Ok. I'll be back Tails. Good luck with the machine.

Tails: Thanks. See you later.

I walked out the room and closed the door.

Ruby: What do you need me for?

Sonic: Knuckles got a call. He said that it was Yang and she needs you.

Ruby: Ok. I need to leave then.

Sonic: I sent you their location on your scroll.

Ruby: Thanks Sonic.

I ran out of HQ and made my way to where my scroll was telling me.

(Time skip)

I made it to a broken town. All I see is broken buildings and some Grimm running around.

Ruby: My scroll says that they should be nearby.

I looked around and saw Yang running towards something. I quickly made my way to her.

Ruby: Yang! Wait up!

She didn't hear me. She jumped up and tried to punch someone. She was knocked back. I heard laughing.

(Y/N): I just got done dealing with some insects. Now I have to deal with you seven.

Yang: I'm going to defeat you!

(Y/N) is here! I don't have my Phantom Ruby. This is going to be trouble. (Y/N) dashed forward at Yang. I got in front of Yang and (Y/N) stopped.

Yang: Ruby?!

Ruby: Where is everyone else?

Yang: He already knocked them out.

(Y/N): After all you've been through, you're back for more. How foolish are you?

I walked up to him and extended my fist at him.

(Y/N): You still wish to fight?

Ruby: I don't want to fight.

He looked down at my fist.

(Y/N): A fist bump?

He said in a quiet voice. He started to hold his head. He grunted in pain. A fist bump is the last thing we did together. I hope this jogs his memory.

Ruby: Do you remember doing this with me?

He closed his eyes and shook his head.

(Y/N): Why is this so familiar? It's frustrating.

He opened his eyes and started to float.

(Y/N): It doesn't matter. I will still achieve my goal.

Ruby: Then I'm going to beat your memory back in.

(Y/N): If you wish to fight, then follow me.

He dashed away and I made chase.

Yang: Ruby! Wait!

I didn't listen to Yang and I continued to run after (Y/N). He looked behind and saw me.

(Y/N): So you didn't give into fear. That's fine by me.

He raised his hand and threw cubes at me. I jumped up and started to shoot at him. He blocked my shots with his hand. He made a trail of cubes and threw them at me. I dodged it, but it turned around and started to follow me.

Ruby: That's new.

I started to run from it. I got on a building wall and started to run up it. I got to the roof and jumped at (Y/N). I swung Crescent Rose at him. He caught it and threw me away.

(Y/N): What a foolish idea. Coming at me head on.

Ruby: That wasn't my plan.

He looked shocked and quickly turned around. He got hit by the trail of cubes. He fell down to the ground. He got up and looked at me with anger.

(Y/N): How did I fall for that?!

He bursted a bunch of energy and my vision gained a red tint.

(Y/N): You are being effect. You don't have your Phantom Ruby. You can't beat me.

Ruby: I'm not trying to beat you. I'm trying to save you!

(Y/N): I don't need to be saved! I don't need your help!

He started to shout and a beam started to come from his Phantom Ruby. It shot into the sky. A big, burning ball appeared in the sky.

Ruby: What the?

(Y/N): You think I'm weak?! I'm not weak! I'll show everyone this fact! The sun will destroy everything!

The red tint in my vision disappeared and the sun was still there.

Sonic: The sun?!

I looked back to see everyone running to me. My team were ok and team JNPR too.

Tails: Guys! That thing is real.

Jaune: How can we stop that?!

I looked back at (Y/N). He started to fly and made a bunch of clones of us. He sent them charging at us.

Knuckles: Come on everyone! Let's show him we can win!
