(Sonic's POV)

It's been a few months since Ruby and (Y/N) left to go around the world and help people in need. At first, Yang didn't like the idea of Ruby going away but she eventually agreed to it.

Sonic: I haven't seen those two ever since. I hope they are doing great.

I started to get a call on my scroll. It was Tails.

Tails: Hey Sonic!

For the past few months me, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, team WBY, and team JNPR have been working on fixing the damage to Remnant.

Sonic: Whats up Tails?

Tails: There is a nearby village that is being invaded by Grimm!

Sonic: Don't worry buddy. I'm on the way.

I hanged up my scroll and started to run faster. I quickly made it to the village and kicked a Grimm away, killing it. The people looked at me and started to thank me.

Sonic: Everyone get to safety! I'll take care of this!

They gave me nods and they quickly went inside their homes.

Sonic: Come on Grimm! Time to take you all out!

I ran over to a group of Grimm. I kicked one away and killed it. I went into a ball and started to spin in place. I started to spin so fast that I was digging into the ground slightly. I rolled at the Grimm and went through their chest and they turned to dust.

Sonic: Man that never gets old.

I saw some people actually fighting back the Grimm with their guns. They all got rid of the few Grimm that was in that area of the village. I jumped up to one of the buildings and looked around. The only Grimm left was a huge one that looked like a gorilla. I jumped on it and stood on its head.

Sonic: Up here! Grimm for brains!

It tried to swat me away, but I jumped up. I kicked the back of its head, knocking it to the ground.

Sonic: You Grimm aren't really that talkative. It would be a lot more fun if you guys could. I wonder what you guys would talk about.

I was in thought. I noticed the Grimm got up and ran at me. It slammed its fist at me. I waited and just as the fist would make contact with me, I ran behind the Grimm.

Sonic: I guess it wouldn't matter what you would talk about. You guys would just go on about destroying stuff.

I kicked its head off and it turned into dust. I got out my scroll and started to call Tails. He quickly picked up.

Sonic: I'm finished Tails. All the villagers are safe.

Tails: Good job Sonic. I'll call back when there is another attack happening.

Sonic: Got it.

I put away my scroll and started to run.

Sonic: Each day just keeps getting more exciting. Now that I'm thinking about it, Tails said that Grimm have only been attacking villages and towns now. Does that mean someone is controlling them?

I thought about it.

Sonic: Nah. Like anyone could control all the Grimm like that.

I continued to run and I noticed a small village ahead.

Sonic: Might as well stop by. No harm in saying hi to people.

I made my way to the village and stopped in the middle of it. I looked around and waved at people.

Sonic: Everything seems nice here. I'm surprised that the Grimm haven't targeted this place yet.

I walked around and some kids ran past me. Curiosity got the better of me and I followed to where they were running to you. The kids are playing with an guy. He looked familiar to me. He turned and I saw a scar over his right eye.

Sonic: (Y/N)?!

He looked up at me and smiled. I ran up to him.

Sonic: Long time no see (Y/N).

(Y/N): Hey Sonic. How have you been?

Sonic: Great. Me and the resistance have been working on repairing Remnant.

(Y/N): Sorry for that.

Sonic: No need to apologize. How have you been doing?

(Y/N): Me and Ruby found this village and I just felt a connection with these people. Me and Ruby have been staying here for a few months now.

I looked around and didn't see Ruby anywhere.

Sonic: Where is Ruby? I don't see here around.

(Y/N): She's our in the nearby forest and killing any Grimm she comes across.

Me and (Y/N) sat down and continued to talk. He talked about his and Ruby's experiences at this village and it sounded like they have been having a great time here.

(Y/N): How is everyone else?

Sonic: Knuckles is still Knuckles. Tails has been making new inventions to help with our mission.

(Y/N): I can't wait to see those.

Sonic: Yang is still worried sick about Ruby.

(Y/N): Then me and Ruby have to met up with everyone again.

Sonic: I like that idea.

I laid down and looked to the sky. I saw a red bunch of rose petals appear from the trees. Ruby appeared from the petals and landed on the ground. I got up and Ruby noticed me.

Ruby: Hey Sonic!

She ran up to me and (Y/N).

Sonic: Hey Ruby. How was your Grimm hunting?

Ruby: Weird thing is, I didn't find any Grimm.

(Y/N): That's weird. You usually come back and tell me all about how you take on a pack of Grimm.

She didn't find any Grimm? That's very unlikely. She should have ran into at least one. Maybe someone actually is controlling the Grimm. I shook my head and sighed. I think Tails will know what's going on.

(Y/N): How long do you plan on staying here Sonic?

Sonic: I don't know. Maybe-

I was interrupted by a small explosion going off behind (Y/N). It was close to hitting him, but he wasn't hurt.

Ruby: Who did that?!

I looked up to see Shadow.

Shadow: I finally found you (Y/N).
