Let's draw a cat!

First part: Color scheme
I chose some shades of brown for the fur, and a bright green for the eyes

Second part: actually drawing the cat
Warning. From here on out, there will be some very messy sketches. I do not work in perfect circles, as that makes me frustrated. And a frustrated artist does not produce good work. Second, don't be afraid to mess up! We all do, and it's natural. I found my newest style through an accident, and some of my favorite artwork has been unplanned. This is just how I draw my cats, and it's here to help you!

Step 1: head
Draw a loose circle. It doesn't matter if it doesn't look that good, but it at least needs to be round.

Step 2: body
Just draw a rough lil diamond thingy. This is what I do for portraits, later on it will look better.

Step 3: ears
This is just a basic shape. In this shape, you can make you ears turn pretty much any direction.

Step 4: face
Two lil circles for the eyes, and a triangle nose. Simplistic.

Step 5: eyes
Draw a little line perpendicular to the circle, then curve it over the top. The attach a second curve from the line, to the first curve. I spend a bit of time in the eyes, because they can hold all the emotion in a drawing.

Step 6: fluff
Sometimes I draw my cats without fluff, but not often. Even if it's just a little bit, it makes the whole drawing more appealing. There's also the matter of forehead fluff. I like to change it up for each cat, but I think it looks cute when a she-cat has a lil curl of fluff up there. (See Moonshadow for an example)

Step 7: ERASE
THIS TAKES THE LONGEST TIME IN THE ENTIRE THING

*30 minutes later* I FINALLY FINISHED ERASING THIS CAT

Step 8: color
I like to just use the fill tool for this, and then get rid of any extra spots with a thin pen thingy whatsit
