Weeks had passed since their arrival at Hateno Village. They had wished to travel straight to Zora's Domain but Zelda had insisted she plan. Plan for what? She needed to make sure she had a plan for Hyrule before she left.

If she could gather up enough support from all the races, she could build up an army to swarm the castle. If they wanted to restore Hyrule, they needed to start with the castle, it was once the centre of all trade routes. If the princess could guarantee the restoration of Castle Town and it's markets, her people would be reunited again!

When they finally set out for the Domain, Zelda had her mind buzzing with ideas. Link had told her of the others that had helped him in his efforts to retake the Divine Beasts. He told her of Teba, the Rito. He told her of Yunobo, the Goron. He told her of Riju, the Gerudo. And of course, Sidon, the Zora.

"Sidon?"Zelda cocked an eyebrow, surprised that the small Zora boy she had met all those years ago had helped Link take back Vah Ruta.

"Yes, Sidon." He nodded at her.

"How is he? When last I saw him, he was such a small little boy!" She clutched the reins of her horse.

Link looked down. Sidon had grown up without his sister, Mipha. He had grown into a world where he had to protect his people from constant danger. Sidon was only a boy when his sister died in the Divine Beast, leaving him alone in the world with only his father.

"He is coping..." Link looked up and smiled weakly, "But I am sure he will be much happier when we arrive."

Many gasped at the sight of the princess. Zora's could live for a very long time meaning many had seen Zelda before, from a time before the Calamity. Everyone turned as the two Hylians entered their domain.

"Link!" Sidon came bounding round the corner, his hands open wide untill he saw the blonde girl next to him, he dropped his arms, "Princess...?"

"Sidon?" It was Zelda's turn to gasp.

The last time she had seen the Zora Prince he barely came up to her knees. Now, he towered over her, his crimson scales reminding her of his sister, Mipha.

***

Sidon got on his knees, bowing his head respectfully. He still couldn't believe what was about to happen! He was about to take up his sister's place as Zora champion and become a protector of Hyrule! Mipha would be proud!

"Zora! My friends," Zelda started, outstretching her arms in a welcoming gesture, "we are gathered together today to acknowledge this man's feats in time of need." She looked down to where Sidon kneeled.

"By the power invested in me by the Goddess Hylia, I name you Prince Sidon, Zora Champion!" Cheers eruptted all around as they saw the Hylian Princess crouch down besides Sidon and they both stood up together, Sidon smiling his toothy smile.

Zelda couldn't contain her smile as she scanned the room. She had never thought she would ever be so delighted at using her power. She was the princess and therefore she could order people to do things and yet she felt more delight when she gave power to others. She had given Sidon his status as Zora Champion and that made them happy therefore making her happy as well.

She saw Link in the croud, clapping along and cheering. He knew it was supposed to be Sidon in the spotlight but he was looking directly at Zelda. She thought it was odd but he was proud of her. This was the first time she had made a decision as the ruler of Hyrule.

King Dorephan laughed heartily as the princess sat and told her tales of Mipha, his daughter.

"And then when we woke up, Link was back to normal, but still wearing my dress!" She clapped her hand over her mouth as she continued to chuckle, "It took Mipha and I nearly an hour to get him out of it because he was stuck!"

The party that had followed Sidon's ceremony had died down and now Zelda sat by King Dorephan's side, telling him more about his daughter. She knew that he wanted to know her better, even if he didn't talk about it.

She told him of when Mipha had come to see Link in the hospital and of how they had quickly became friends. She had just finished telling him of when Link turned into Linkle and they had a girl's night. It was all worth it when the king laughed.

"Really? You had to tell him that story?" Link walked in on the two, laughing away.

She kept laughing and patted the spot next to her. Link sat down and leaned back, exhausted. He could help but let himself chuckle as well, remembering that night and all the fun they had.

"Thank you, princess..." The king finally stopped and wiped away the tears of laughter, finally composing himself, "I barely knew my own daughter... Thank you for these new stories... I will treasure them forever..."

Zelda bowed her head respectfully, knowing she could never bring Mipha back, "I am forever indebted to you, Princess. My Zora warriors and all my citizens are at your disposal..."

"Thank you..." She smiled up at him, finding Link's hand and giving it an excited squeeze.

"I want to come with you..." Zelda jumped and turned as they spoke.

"I'm sorry," he raised his hands in defense as he entered the room.

"Sidon? What do you want?" She sighed with relief.

"I wish to come with you and Link, travel away from the Domain." The prince smiled broadly, full of excitement.

"Really? Don't you need to be here? Why do you want to go?" She turned away from her packing and stared at him.

"The Calamity is gone, I believe it is time to stop morning the death of my sister... Please let me come with you and Link!" He pleaded.

Zelda stood back, thinking deeply before nodding at him and going back to her packing, "You came come."
