"I come seeking help..."

Zelda and Link had headed out a few days ago in the direction of the Spring of Power. Zelda had barely spoken to Link since the incident involving her father and the Guardian's research team. Zelda had finally told him about the Ocarina of Time and how she had used it. Now, Zelda was waist deep in the freezing cold waters of the Spring, her white dress soaked and her hands clasped tight in prayer, the moon high in the sky.

"Regarding this power that has been  handed down over time..." She stared up at the Goddess statue.

"Prayer will awaken my power to seal Ganon away... Or so I've been told all my life... And yet..." She lowered her head as she thought of her...

"Grandmother heard them- The voices from the spirit realm. And Mother said her own power would develop within me."

Her voice started to raise and her temper started to raise, "But I don't hear... Or feel anything!"

She held her hands back up in prayer,"Father has told me time and time again... He always says "Quit waisting your time playing at being a scholar!""

She slapped her hands down into the water and is splashed onto her dress, "curse you..."

"I've spent every day of my life dedicated to praying!"

"I've pleaded to the spirits tied to the ancient gods... And still the holy powers have proven deaf to my devotion."

Zelda held herself tight, shielding herself from the cold and to make herself feel just that little bit safer. The waterfalls around her crashed down into the pool and her legs began  to go numb with the cold.

"Please just tell me..." She felt tears come, she thought by now, she would be used to it and that it would be easier to combat the effects. Obviously, she was wrong.

"What is it...?" She stuttered, "What's wrong with me?!" She cried.

Link, who up until this time had been standing guard by the pool, looked round to Zelda. He had heard everything... They seemed to be heading backwards. Zelda seemed to be reverting back to how she was before she met Link. She felt doubtful and anytime Link tried to reach her, she would push him away...

He wouldn't let that happen, he jumped into the pool, soaking him in an instant and ran towards the Princess. She started to cry out in hoarse sobs. He got to her and she collapsed into his arms. He held her close, and picked her up bridal style and carried her out of the pool.

"Zelda, it's ok..." He sat her down and stroked her hair soothingly, whispering his comforts to her.

After a few moments, Zelda fell limp and let sleep wash over her. Link smiled and took off his tunic. It was the only piece of clothing that was near to dry, and Zelda was still in her thin white dress. He pulled his blue tunic over her and made sure she was comfortable before me took the blankets out of his saddle pack and put them all over her.

It didn't take him long to make a campfire. Link finally settled down for his own sleep. He started to shiver as the cold crept up on him, but that didn't bother him. As long as Zelda was alright, he was alright...
