This may come now as a shock,

But...

Yes, friends!

Being a dog

Is anything but easy;

Things get very cheesy

Quick.

And lost is who doesn't know the trick

Of how to use their eyes at best

And allow yourself some rest.

Sleeping and eating is all, cats do –

We dogs, on the other hand aren't so...

Lazy,

But rather crazy

When we need to be,

As you all can see

When watching the mailman's leg.

Yet, Mistress is not very proud,

At times like this, I really doubt

That anybody will ever value our bravery.

And so things will stay

As they used to be:

I only protected my territory –

And got punished for fullfilling a dog's duty!
