“Almost, But Not For Eternity”

My world was revolving around you,
I never felt sad nor blue,
After I heard you like a girl and it's not me,
I couldn't just sit and let it be.

I did my best to keep you on my grip,
That time, I didn't realized I am already whipped,
Silly of me to think I can build a future with you,
Even though I witness all she gone through.

Just to get you back from her embrace
where you find your safest place.
I continue my life together with you, even if I know that one day
you'll leave me after knowing the truth I choose not to say.

I even lied that we had our own vows,
Like we told the priest our I do's,
And our own way to say I love you,
But all those things are untrue.

I  just want to live with you forever,
Yet destiny love's to play.
We can't have our own happily ever after,
A mischievous being keep on telling me to scream the word, “stay”

But in the first place under the gray sky; there's no we,
You already own by someone and it's not me,
I taste destiny's cruelty,
We're almost, but not for eternity.
