The guard outside her chamber announced the arrival of the king. They had not met each other since the last she asked him about his cursed fate and his sudden visit was quite a shock. The king marched in with trays of delicious delicacies.

"Kamali, welcomes the king. So, you have just remembered you have a guest?" She asked as she took a glass of sherbet served.

"I learned that you have been collecting information. I must applaud you for the commitment. Did you find anything helpful?" He took in the interior of the chamber which she had changed to her likings. He frowned, "the bed used to be on the other side, isn't it?"

"Yes, but who wants to wake up to a wall. I rather enjoy the outside view. Anyways, Vasu, how long have you been trapped in this loop?"

He almost did not believe his ears. "what did you just called me?" No one till date had ever called him by his name except for his parents that too she called him with his second name, shorten.

"Vasu. That's your name right. I'm sorry, can't call you 'Your Majesty'" She raised her hands up in defence. "Tell me, how long?"

"About five century," Vasu made a face as he tried. to calculate mentally. "Five hundred and twenty-six to be exact."

Kamali's jaw dropped to the floor, she dropped the glass on the table with a bang. "Five hundred years? That's freaking long! How are you'll even managing?" Kamali sputtered.

Vasu nodded, calmly. This had been a reaction he came across often. In his five centuries, he had many visitors like Kamali and when they find out about it, it's always been the same.

"You are old! But you don't look like that," she gasped, still in shock of the number.

He nodded again. "I don't live for five centuries straight, dear visitor."

The big number, the revelations that was making sense to her was too much to take in, she held her hand out asking for a time out. "Wait, let me sink in the information."

"Take your time, we have a long journey together." He took a bite of the banana chips and headed to the door. "See you next time. Enjoy the chips."

Kamali was certain that Vasu and his land stuck in a time loop for five centuries and learning from the astrologer, despite his many trials they could not break the curse. She had now spent close two years in Chakranadu. In those two years, she tried to find a way out for herself and sometimes for Vasu as well. She felt pity for him, at times she would see him alone by the lake staring vacantly at the flowing river.

Stepping into her seventh year, she remembered Vadivu the statue lady when she saw Vadivu moving about and decided to seek answer from Vasu.

"I sent her there to lure people in to our time zone and perhaps they could bring us out of it. In spite of five hundred and twenty-six trials none who came managed to do it. You are no exception, I don't expect it either. My conscience have always questioned me for what I do and I'm guilty for that." He smiled with guilt.

"I'm sorry for pulling you in here. This phase will be the most terrible of all. Hold on and we will be back soon," He apologies bringing his palms together.

"Please, don't. I might not understand the pain of living in a cycle but I can't try. There is no harm in trying." She tapped the arms of the king as an assurance and support.

Vasu accepted her offer and explained to her what was the problem that cause them to be in a loop for so long. As the astrologer had told her, Vasu too spoke about the cursed left by the dying couple. When he learnt about it, Vasu begin his work to bring peace and prosperity to the land in his early age.

Like any other kingdoms in the country, Chakranadu was one of the first kingdoms to come under attack by foreign invaders. Their entry into Chakranadu was the beginning of their devastation. The peace he built broke in days of their arrival pushing the entire land into a time loop.

"I get it, we have to stop the invaders from marching into our land." Chakranadu had become her own land after spending seven long years there, although Chakranadu doesn't exist in her current time, it was a part of her ancient kingdoms.

To think she could change the history of the small kingdom and be able to avoid the brutality caused by the invaders gave her a rush of excitement. She never felt this good to think bad of someone but now she let that ruthlessness takeover her conscience.

Kamali had laid out her plan to Vasu and his generals. Although her plan seemed foolish to the generals they went with it since saying, "we will face them again, so go let's go with the plan."

Kamali and Vasu stood at a higher ground overseeing the sea and their party. At the seashore Vasu's three generals stood with a white flag implying surrender  without fighting. Their first plan was to avoid any ambush attack. Kamali and Vasu watched as the higher officers from the ship converse with the generals. The officers and the generals marched into the palace for discussion to handover the land, mentioned to the former as planned.

Following Kamali's plan, they surrounded the unguarded higher officers with spears and swords capturing them in the dungeon. "You liars! How dare you do this to us. My men are out there and once they find out we are kidnaped, you are doomed for good!" One of the officers spat in his mother tongue.

Good for Kamali, she was well versed in their tongue, she replied. "We don't give a damn about your men out there. Guess what, just like you all of them in the ship have been captured and tied in separate groups. They can't afford to anything against our will. It's our turn," she growled, feeling the pain they would have caused to the people of Chakranadu for five centuries.

Vasu's guard announced of their success in accomplishing the task given and that made Kamali more delighted. They headed to the ship and seized every weapon available. Most were explosive. Kamali's ruthless part of herself, came up with a plan. As merciless it may be, this could the way they all could stop the time loop.
