[VERY IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE]

Because of a recent thinger, Ophelia Hunter is now the VICTOR OF THE 69TH HUNGER GAMES! I know that this might throw some of you off at first, but TRUST ME, I will be getting to edit things for Ophelia. Because NEW CHARACTERS THAT WILL BE A PART OF THIS STORY AND AN EXTENDED PIECE OF IT WILL BE INVOLVED, a BIG twist of Katniss's story WILL come up. So PLEASE keep an open mind about it, nothing will change her being the Mockingjay or the general plot of Catching Fire or Mockingjay, but important characters will be introduced. For future updates about this, stay tuned to me and ColaRiddle. It's still very under wraps, so don't expect too much too soon. I just wanted to give you a heads up, and tell you that I may not be editint things about Ophelia in past chapters, but starting NOW, in this chapter, Ophelia is Victor of the 69th games. Sorry for a long note. But heads up!

Also, I'm sorry about the length, its simply because there isn't much to happen yet. But just you wait ;}

Stay tuned. Stay Classy!

Quinn and Orion sat beside each other in the room full of tributes. Quinn and Orion hadn't spoken about what they were going to do. Orion had mentioned that he was going to be doing something with knives-- he had taken advantage of District One's interest in him to get some pointers, and District Seven's interest in him too and they gave him some pointers about aim. Quinn had absolutely no idea what she was about to do, she had shown the gamemakers enough. At least in her eyes, she had shown them enough. She did great in the simulation room, and then during the entire third day, she worked on climbing, hand on hand combat-- which probably wouldn't help her much in the arena because of how much small she was than the other tributes. Fire building, shelter building, and familiarizing herself with plants. She had covered plenty of area's, she wasn't about tire herself just to get a high score to make herself a target. She did after all score horribly during her games, and she still came out on top.

"Are you ready, princess?" Finnick poked his head between Orion and Quinn, "How 'bout you, Mr. Snow?" he added looking over at Orion.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Quinn sighed, "But remember, scores mean nothing." she echoed his piece of advice. He smiled a bit.

"I'm glad something I said stuck." he sighed.

"Snow, Orion." the gamemaker called his name, and gave Quinn a look. His eyes full of anxiety and nervousness, but he got up and made his way toward the gate. Quinn watched him go, and she couldn't help but see how much he had changed since he had been reaping-- and he hadn't even set foot in the arena yet.

"Do you think he has a chance?" Finnick asked.

Quinn thought for a moment, then slowly nodded. "He went through a lot of training in Thirteen..." she said hushly, "He can figure things out."

Finnick was quiet for a moment, "So are you two...ya'know-"

"Finnick!"

Quinn hissed, turning her head quickly to stare at.

"It's a well accepted assumption between people." he replied, defending himself. Raising an eyebrow, "At least it's more believable than the star-crossed lovers." he said quietly, glancing over at Katniss and Peeta who sat in silence next to each other.

"Well whoever's saying that is wrong." she replied.

Finnick raised an eyebrow and sat back as if he was done with the conversation. Quinn sighed and turned around, to face forward and to wait for her name to be called. Until the thought of doing nothing came up again, so she turned back towards Finnick.

"Finnick, what do you think I'd get if I did nothing?"

His eyes widened, and he glanced at Mags as if to ask if she was being serious. He looked back at her, his eyes stared into her own, as if he was waiting for her to tell him she was joking. But she didn't she simply waited for a response.

"You can't be serious, Quinn." Finnick said simply, leaning forward, and practically hissing at her.

"Maverick, Quinn,"

That next morning, Quinn sat beside Orion and Lace on the couch. Her legs pulled up to her chest. She hadn't talked about how she did in front of the gamemakers. She knew if Finnick had thought she was crazy, her entire team would have thought she had completely lost her mind when she needed every bit of sanity she had left for the games.

"Now for the long awaited scores..." Caesar smiled into the camera, "Starting with our Capitol Favorites..." he grinned.

Quinn felt her stomach flip and begin to knot up. And she felt Orion tense up next to her.

"Orion Snow," Caesar began, making sure to put emphasis on Orion's last name, "Received a score of...nine."

The entire team let out a sigh of relief. Nobody would have said it, but they had all been worried about Orion. Even Quinn had doubted he would be able to figure something out to make sure he had some sort of a chance against the Victors. Quinn looked over at him and gave him a small smile and nod, but her smile faltered as soon as Caesar said her name.

"Quinn Maverick," he smiled putting a strange emphasis on her name, he looked at the score a moment as her picture appeared. The corners of his mouth twitched as if his smile was going to disappear. "Received a shocking, six."

Ciruss's eyes quickly turned from the screen, to her. "Quinn! You said you did great in training."

Quinn sighed.

"She did." Orion said, looking down at Quinn just as shocked.

"What did you do?" Kelsey asked, her voice squeaking.

Quinn hugged her knees tighter to her chest for a moment, "The training is what got me a six. I did nothing today for my score..."
