(Short Chapter)
Gary's POV

Steam filled the air as I pushed open the glass door. Ruffling my hair a little, I stepped out of the shower and onto the patterned bathroom tiles with warm water droplets trickling down from my body and drenching the floor towel in the process. I ran a hand through my hair, feeling the silkiness as it flowed downwards. I stared at the mirror and grinned as I brushed out my soft, luscious, green hair...

"Wait...green hair?" I questioned thoughtfully then peered closer at the mirror to get a better look.

I felt my jaw drop down to the floor and through the earth itself as I gaped at my hair which had once been brown and spiky. I tugged at the strands to make sure I hadn't gotten drunk at the ball and worn a green wig to bed. My hair didn't move off my head so we can be certain that this is my own hair and not a wig.

"My precious hair..." I mumbled and patted my head repeatedly, not believing what was happening.

After getting changed into my daily clothing, I looked at the mirror once more and immediately turned away in disgust.

"Now what am I going to do!?" I exclaimed loudly in stress. "I look just like Paul and Drew combined! Now I definitely won't get any girls if I look like those two..."

"Good morning." A voice interrupted me and I spun around quickly to face the owner.

"Drew." I growled through my teeth and glared at him.

The prince had a smug look on his face with an amused glint in his eyes. He was smirking his usual smirk which made my blood boil.

"Did you do this?" I asked in the most calm way possible but held a suspicious tone in my voice.

"Of course I didn't." He responded but held his smirk.

"I don't believe that for one second. Why did you do this?" I questioned, slowly losing my temper.

"In my defence, I technically didn't do it. Someone did it for me." He pointed out but I continued to glare at him anyway.

"It was still your own idea." I said and he just huffed before speaking once more.

"Don't you remember the worms that you placed in my cereal that morning? The ones that made me throw up for thirty minutes straight?" Drew asked me and tapped my forehead as I realised what he meant.

I began bursting into fits of laughter as I recalled the memory of him eating the worms and puking out his guts. Drew glared at me in irritation and whacked my head.

"You shouldn't be laughing! You're the one who has green hair now." He said and began chuckling.

"You have green hair too. So why are you laughing?" I stated and began patting his head which he snarled at and whacked me once more.

I watched as he composed himself and dragged me out of my own room and to the dining hall where everyone else would've gathered. Now it was my turn to scowl as the people wandering throughout the castle stared at me for too long making me both uncomfortable and mad. As I walked into the dining room, I felt all eyes on me.

"Paul!?" Someone screeched in shock and pointed a finger at me while another grunted in response.

"Clearly, that's not me." The real Paul answered with a bored tone.

"But he looks a lot like you...but with Drew's hair colour." Ash stated and continued to point at my hair.

I began grumbling under my breath as I sat down and the princes were laughing at me all throughout breakfast. Ash couldn't eat properly because he would always glance in my direction and spit out all his food in laughter while Paul would occasionally smile weirdly as if this whole situation amused him. Drew was laughing hysterically the whole entire meal.

"Where's Iris by the way?" Drew questioned suddenly causing me to glance at the empty seat the girl would usually sit in.

I shivered at the thought of her usual demanding voice.

"She ran in saying there was an emergency and ran back out probably to King Cilan." Ash informed us.

"Emergency? Should we be worried?" Drew questioned and I shrugged.

"I'm sure it's nothing. This happens all the time. I'm sure they're just planning a special celebration that they forgot about and the preparations became urgent or something like that." Ash said happily.

"I'm going to my room." I said in irritation after finishing my food but Drew stopped me from standing up.

"What are you going to do about that hair?" He questioned making me think deeply about he situation.

"I have hair dye that was your original hair colour and a spray that will make it spiky again." Paul spoke up which caused me to widen my eyes.

"Why do you have a hair dye that colour?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and he glared.

"It was for a task I had to do for Reggie that one time." He said quickly before heading off to his room. "Come with me."

I hesitantly followed Paul to his room which was across from my own one. He flung open the door and crouched beside his bathroom cabinet and began taking things out one by one. After a couple of moments, he pulled out a spray and hair dye and handed it to me.

"Hope you know how to dye your hair properly or else this will turn out weirdly." He told me as I took the bottles from his hand.

"No need to worry!" I exclaimed and hurried out of his room and into mine.

That morning, no one noticed the screaming that was happening outside.

Leaf's POV

I awoke feeling sore all over. My feet ached terribly and my shoulders were painful to move.

"Why do I feel so crippled?" I groaned loudly causing someone to shift in their bed.

A pillow was thrown at me with extreme force causing me to fly off my bed in shock. I lay on the floor, dumbfounded.

"May!" I yelled in frustration and a chuckle sounded from the other side of the room.

"Girls, be quiet. Your friends are still sleeping." Ms Greenfield's voice spoke through the doorway and we immediately shut our mouths.

For awhile, the both of us lay in silence. I could tell May was still awake because she was shifting in her bed quite a lot but I was still on the ground which was surprisingly comfortable.

"Can I have my pillow back please?" May's voice croaked sleepily from her side of the room.

"You threw it at me. So no." I said sternly and she groaned loudly like I had earlier.

I sighed and stood up shakily. I wobbled slightly on my feet which still hurt and picked up the pillow in my hands. Using my right hand, I aimed at her bed and threw it with as much power as possible. It hit May but she caught it within her arms and hugged it causing my jaw to drop.

"That was supposed to make you fly like what you did to me." I grumbled in annoyance while May giggled at me.

"Do you think we'll be seeing those princes again?" I asked her as we both stared at the ceiling.

"Probably. I mean, we do live in their kingdom technically." She stated and I hummed in response. "You know, Prince Andrew forced me to prank your dance partner." May spoke up with a slight tease in her tone.

"You mean Prince Gary? I can't believe that his name wasn't Gerald." I hissed in irritation while May chuckled at me again.

"The prank should be done this morning if the prince washes his hair." She said with amusement.

"What's the prank?" I asked curiously.

"I was forced to pour a whole lot of green hair dye into his shampoo which should make his hair droop and turn green later on." May explained and I couldn't help but giggle at the thought of the prince looking like that.

"What time is it?" I asked suddenly causing May to roll over and check the clock on the wall.

"It's four in the morning."

"Don't you find it weird that Ms Greenfield is up this early?" I pondered and May became silent.

"That's true." She said thoughtfully.

"I'm not going to think too hard about it. She probably can't sleep. I'll be going back to sleep myself then. It's still too early for me." I said while yawning and May hummed in response before we both pulled the covers over ourselves.

We both went back to bed after that, not noticing the distant blowing of horns on the horizon and the screams that followed it.

What's going to happen next chapter???

I'm so sorry for the extremely late chapter! I've been so busy with homework and assignments from school that I'd forgotten about writing completely. I've also been caught up with watching Fairy Tail. Gosh that anime is so addicting to watch. AND GUESS WHAT? I JUST STARTED ANOTHER ANIME. Your lie in April is so good as well.

SO LIKE, I HAVE BEEN WRITING THIS CHAPTER OVER THE SPAN OF A MONTH JUST STOPPING AND STARTING AGAIN BUT, I FINISHED FAIRY TAIL AND I'M SO SAD!! SEASON 3 BETTER COME OUT SOON! That anime is amazing...

I am not very happy with my writing at the moment. I haven't even gotten to the problem completely yet.

Now it's Easter holidays so I should have more time to write as well.

I'm sorry that this chapter is extremely short. I would usually write more but I'm running out of ideas for this specific chapter but I know what I'm doing for the next few ones.

Thank you for reading this terrible chapter, but anyway, hopefully the next one will have a bit more of the storyline in it. We shall see.

Goodbyeeee!
