Alright, if I add Frightfur Patchwork...oh, hello! You know me, I'm SSGSSJ2! So, on this exciting episode of "A Saiyan's Guide to a Children's Card Game," I'll education you all on the amazing aspects of Synchro Summoning!

Synchro Summoning is the hardest mechanic to use in Yu-Gi-Oh. It involves "tuning" (usually) 1 Tuner Monster to X number of non-Tuner Monsters, which means sending them to the Graveyard. If the combined Levels of the Synchro Materials match a Synchro Monster in the Extra Deck, you can Synchro Summon that Synchro Monster. For a Synchro Summon, you need:

A) A Synchro Monster in the Extra Deck

B) A Tuner Monster that is face-up on your side of the field

C) 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters face-up on your side of the field

NOTE: Some Synchros need a specific type of Tuner or non-Tuner Materials, and some even need 2 Tuners. The Synchro Monster you want to summon will have its required materials on the card, though most say "1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters." This stipulation is referred to as being Generic or having "Generic Materials."

So, for example, I am trying to Synchro Summon.

A) The desired Synchro is X-Saber Wayne, a Level 5 with Generic Materials.

B) X-Saber Airbellum, a Level 3 Tuner monster, is on my field.

C) Also on my field are 2 copies of X-Saber Axel, a Level 1 Monster.

Now, I declare a Synchro Summon and send the 3 monsters on my field to the Graveyard. By doing this, because 3+1+1=5, I am allowed to Synchro Summon X-Saber Wayne from my Extra Deck.

Pros:

*Synchro Decks are known for being beyond explosive. Turn 1 is sometimes all that's needed for them to win.

*Because Synchro Summoning is quite hard, there are very few bad Synchro Monsters.

*Decks that aren't focused on Synchros can still run them. You just need a Tuner, a non-Tuner, and a Synchro Monster.

Cons:

*Playing against a Synchro Deck can be quite dull and boring when the theme is "Synchro" and not "X-Saber" or "Yang Zing."

*Requires more field presence then Fusion Summoning.

*MATH. SYNCHROS NEED MATH. AND LOTS OF IT.

Rogue Examples:

Shooting Quasar Dragon:

The game's most powerful Synchro requires not only 1 Tuner and 2 non-Tuners, but they have to be Synchro Monsters. Yeah.

Formula Synchron:

A Level 2 Tuner Synchro Monster. Usually used for bigger Synchro plays, like Quasar.

King's Synchro:

This Trap Card allows the user to banish a Synchro Monster on the field and a Tuner Monster in the Graveyard to perform a Synchro Summon. On your opponent's turn.

Anyways, that's all for today! Tune in next time when I cover the wonders of Xyz Summoning! Now, where can Fluffal Penguin be put into this deck...
