I pulled my bed to the corner no one had ever had wanted. It had one of the few windows to space. It showed nothing but darkness. It scared us. It scared me, and still did, but maybe they wouldn't come to me if I stayed here. I fashioned myself a curtain and strung it from the ceiling to the bed. It now blocked the rest of the room away from me.

I hugged myself and wished for sleep to come faster. A silhouette of a person appeared on my curtain.

"Neptune, can we talk?" Chase asked.

"No."

"Please?"

"No?"

"Are you mad?"

"Yes."

"At me?"

"Yes."

"How about the others?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

I didn't respond to the question. I wasn't saying more than one word at a time. Chase took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"Can we talk?" He asked.

"No." I responded shortly.

"What about tomorrow?"

"No."

"Not even if I say please?"

"No."

"Have you ever been this mad at me?"

I took a few seconds to think before responding, "No."

"Oh darn. I'm in trouble."

I didn't respond.

"Neptune?"

I didn't speak a word.

"Night Neptune, have sweet dreams." Chase said. He shuffled around and slide a blanket under the curtain. I took the warm blanket and wrapped my cold body in it. The lights flickered off and soon darkness ate us like an animal.

Author's Note

I have so many things to write about from Mars' point of view but I'm running out of ideas for Neptune.

Any ideas?
