Aphmau's P.O.V.

I've been in the castle for a few months now. Aaron and I have grown very close and I even have a crush on him. Garte and I have settled our differences and he has even started to change for the better, he is much nicer to people and even not arguing with me.

It's currently dinner time and I'm feeling very nervous. In a few hours there is going to be a ball and lots of people will be here. A lot of people will be here, it gives the thieves a chance to take a few things. Although lately I've been thinking about leaving them,

I find action fun but since I made friends with all the nobles and such I feel a bit guilty when I steal anything. I think I like the thrill more than actually taking things. I think my friends will still accept me though.

Anyone can come to the ball tonight so even the thieves will be there. I'm excited about seeing everyone again. It's been to long. I need to get ready in a dress though. I chose a special dress that isn't itchy or annoying.

When dinner is over Aaron walks back to my room with me. He is complaining how he has to wear a suit.

"They are so tight and you can barely move in them" He says "At least with a dress toy can move freely"

"Yeah but dresses are itchy and scratchy around the waist" I laugh "Although Ross does say dresses are more comfortable"

"How would he know?" Aaron asks

"We have snuck into balls before, Ross usually wears dresses. He is very popular" I answer

When I get to my room Aaron walks away and I go to the closet. I grab my dress and put it on. I don't bother with make-up, it just means I can't rub my eyes or my lipstick will smudge when I drink things.

I wait on my room while reading a book when I hear a knock at my window. I open it up and it's Ross, sure enough he's wearing a dress.

"Hello princess Ross" I laugh

"Yeah yeah, I was wondering if you were going to the ball?" He asks

"Yeah I am" I reply

We hear a knock at the door and Ross rushes out. Aaron opens it and asks if I'm ready to go. I nod and we walk down to the ballroom. There are so many people, so many rich people. I don't see anyone from the thieves. It makes me feel so uncomfortable and alone. I don't even realise that I have zoned out until Aaron grabs my arm lightly.

"Are you ok? You look a little pale" He asks

"Oh yeah I'm fine, I'm just going to go get a drink" I say and walk over to the food table with Aaron close behind me

When I have gotten a drink I watch the other couples dancing. I don't know why I feel nervous and jumpy all of a sudden. When I see a blue head of hair walk through every nerve in my body settles. Katelyn walks over to me and I hug her so tightly. Everyone is here and I'm so happy about it.

We talk for a little bit and the nobles come over. I am so glad to see them all again. When we are all caught up Aaron asks me to dance. I happily agree even though I'm not the best dancer in the world.

Aaron and I dance for ages and I can see he tense he is. He looks so nervous for some reason. I take him out to the garden. We sit on one of the benches.

"Hey are you ok?" I ask

"Yeah, I just want to ask you something" he replies

"What's that?" I say

"I was wondering if you wanted to return to Falcon Claw with me?" He asks me

"Wait are you serious?" I say shocked

"Yes, it's not that far from Phoenix drop and we could come visit" He says "But unless you don't want to"

"Aaron, I would love to" I say "I love my friends but I feel guilty if I steal anything'

We smile at each other and he presses his lips upon mine. I feel a rush of happiness and I kiss back. We kiss until we hear footsteps in the garden. He takes my hand and we run behind a tree. I see Shelby and red walk past us talking about moving to the country.

I feel very happy for them but I'll miss them, I'll miss everyone. But I'll have Aaron now, nod who knows. Maybe things won't work out and I'll move back here to start a different life. But as long as I know I'll have someone I can do just about anything.
