The world was saved. Ash his friends had stopped Lysandre from erasing the lives of millions.

He couldn't stop thinking about it as he walked closer to the edge of Prism Tower. The last time he was atop this tower, he was in pain, suffering from Lysandre's wrath. Now, he was smiling, enjoying the view of the fluorescent lights of the city.

At this moment, he had everything. He had his friends, his Pokemon, and his journey. There wasn't a single thing he would change.

The air of the night couldn't be fresher. He was all alone.

"Ash?"

He turned to see one of his many friends, Serena.

"What are you doing here?"

"Just...getting some fresh air. The last time I was up here, I was held captive. Kinda trying to get rid of that, you know?"

"Yeah..."

There were a few moments of silence before she mustered up the courage to speak again.

"Ash. I wanted to tell you something-"

"There you are!"

A teen boy in a blue work jumpsuit panted as he caught up with Serena.

"I've been looking for you!"

"O-oh, I-"

"There you are!"

A young girl's voice said from behind him, a girl looking similar to the unathletic teen.

"You're up here too?"

"Of course I am! Everyone is!"

He looked around and saw far too many familiar faces. His rivals, Professors, even some gym leaders and Champions.

"We're all watching you Ash", they all somehow said, their voices combined, "The whole world is watching you"

Ash felt cornered. His legs etched the edge of a hundreds of feet drop.

"Come on, Ash. You can't go anywhere. The whole world is watching you"

His heart stopped as the floor seemed to sway under his feet.

"Wake up, Ash"

His eyes shot open. He was gasping for breath, sweating and red under thick, white blankets. Everything around him was white, except for a machine which seemed to be causing that faint beeping sound.

His blurry vision cleared, revealing a hysterical woman to his left, clenching his hand in hers. She called for someone outside the room, then leaned closer to him. Her mouth started moving, but he couldn't make anything of the sound that followed.

Where was he? What was he doing in this bright room? Why wasn't he standing on the tower, smiling at the view of the prism lights?

Finally, his senses took pity on him.

"Ash, honey, I'm so glad you're awake!", the woman sobbed, squeezing his hand.

"What?", Ash mumbled slowly, "I don't...awake? Where...w..."

"Ash, sweetie..."

But he wished they didn't.

"You've been in a coma"
