Everyone in Wakanda was trying to keep the mind stone safe. Trying to keep Vision safe.

No one else knew that there was another stone being hidden. The invisibility stone.

It was only rumored to be one of the seven. No one had ever seen it, hence the name. It was a myth. A mere legend. A story that had been passed from person to person. It wasn't like anyone knew how to get it, few barely even knew of the name.

That was until Remedy.

She had to keep it hidden. Had to make sure he couldn't get to it.

The problem was, Thanos already knew she had it.

It had always been hard for people to catch her, too so much as see her in the first place. If she didn't want to be found then she wouldn't be.

Others thought of her ability as a gift. Remedy saw it as a curse. It was a constant reminder of who they wanted her be. Who they trained her to be.

Remedy had been taken as a child. A three year old child. Every trace of her had been erased. Every piece of her old life had been ripped away from her and there was no chance she could ever get it back. They killed her family, the only thing that she had.

Hydra knew of what she could do. So they tested on her. Made her feel useless and vulnerable. Everyday was filled with excruciating pain. Both mentally and physically.

After she met the Avengers, her life was actually worth living for. She had a family and a purpose.

When they met the twins, Remedy was the one that they trusted first. She knew what it was like to feel like the whole world was working against you. Because of that, she made great friendships with them. She even formed something a little more than a friendship with Pietro.

When he died in Sokovia, she couldn't breath. She couldn't find words anymore. So she just didn't.

Everyone tried their best to help her but she would only talk to Wanda. Maybe that's why they became so close. They both lost the one person that they felt complete with. They both felt empty.

When Wanda started dating Vision, of course Remedy was supportive. How could she not be? But that didn't stop the longing she felt for what they had. The one thing that was taken away from her way too soon.

People said that you truly had to feel alone, feel invisible to be able to obtain the stone.

Despite everybody loving her like their own, she couldn't help but push them away. Everyone she had ever loved had left her. She couldn't trust herself anymore. She wouldn't be able to live with herself knowing that she could have been the reason they got hurt.

She made sure that they couldn't find her. She hid whenever she had the chance. Being able to teleport made that possible. She could shrink away in the shadows of her own dimension.

So that's what she did in Wakanda. She knew she had the stone and her one priority was to keep it safe.

Unfortunately, she made one fatal mistake.

Remedy couldn't bring herself to watch everyone fighting to stop him. She couldn't bare knowing that she was just standing there doing nothing. So she showed herself.

Before she could even register what was happening, Thanos had his hand raised. Infinity stones glowing.

She didn't know what was happening. She couldn't move or speak. She was left helpless.

She stood there, fist clenched around the small white stone, tears silently streaming down her face.

Thanos grabbed her by the neck with one hand and snatched her wrist with the other.

Forcefully and painfully, her hand unclasped, revealing the last infinity stone.

Air was constricting, and light was fading.

Thanos knew that if he kept her alive, she would still have a chance of taking the stone back.

That's when everything stopped. He dropped her lifeless body on the cold evergreen floor.

Everyone forced to see their once happy and cheerful teammate, drained and devoid of color.
