The story is set in an Alternate Universe to our own - where a small group of people possess secret powers or "abilities" in the world. There are four main characters, each with gifts of their own. A Trip To the Bank tells the story of how they met and how the petty thief, Elliot, turned into an internationally-wanted criminal when discovering her new powers.

- ELLIOT D. GRAYSON (PROTAGONIST)

19 years old, has an addiction to buying cars. Goes to a prestigious university on an academic scholarship. Was kicked out of home for buying too many cars. Goofy personality. Taxi driver. Studies car engineering as major. Lives with a hobo named Harold who acts as her chauffeur.

Powers of Persuasion (people naturally agreeing with her when she gives them orders - effect only lasts 30 mins). Unaware of ability.

THEODORE LOVETT (LOVE INTEREST)

19 years old. Parents died in car-crash when five years old. He was the only one who survived. Split-personalities (himself, a timid Uni student who goes by "Ted" and another mildly sadistic and constantly depressed personality dubbed "Bob" by Elliot). Changes between personalities when called "Teddy". Cannot recall events when Bob is in control. Prestigious family, lives alone. Known as the tragic prince at school. Number one Uni bachelor.

Powers of Extreme Luck (things left up to luck usually going his way) and Pain-Infliction. Only Bob is aware of these abilities.

VALENTINE KINGSLEY (LOVE INTEREST)

19 years old. Wannabe womaniser. Bad relationship with family. Has a home-schooled identical twin brother. Everyone thinks he is a loser. He is a loser. Prestigious family. Goes by "Val". Developed abilities during childhood. Takes girls on dates 24/7. Gets punched a lot. Studies Business. Number two Uni bachelor. Cocky and stuck-up.

Powers of Immobility (can stop objects and organisms' motion / movement for a limited time) and Illusions (causing others to see what isn't really there for limited amount of time). Aware of abilities.

18 years old. No one can ever remember his name or major. Elliot calls him "Stalker McGee". Is a conspiracist. Is aware of others' possession of abilities. Actively seeks out ability-holders. Touches people's feet. Never seen doing work in class. Hides under tables. Looks at panties. Gets embarrassed easily. Everyone thinks he is a weirdo. Was bullied by Valentine in High-School. Timid and curious.

Has no abilities of his own.
