“Are you still angry?” He asked once she walked out of the washroom and she simply walked to the bed without talking anything.

“Anika” He called walking behind her and she glared at him before lying down on the bed.

He got on the bed and hugged her from behind. She tried to wriggle out of his hold but he had held her tight.

“Ok listen. You grow a rose in the garden. When insects come near it, won't you try every way to keep the insect away from the rose even if the insect does no harm to the rose?” He asked and she smiled faintly.

“For us, you and khushi were like that. In Khushi's case, he was a bit more possessive. I understood the reason now” He told with a frown and she controlled her chuckle.

“So it was like, when you reach the age for Marriage, we'll both select someone, do a background check, threaten him and all and finally if he's clean, we'll make you marry him. But now everything got easy for that idiot. He got such a good brother in law without any hardwork” He told with a smirk and she turned to him.

“Good brother in law? You? Don't joke ok” She told and he frowned.

“Why? From which angle am I not a good brother in law?” He asked and she pinched his nose.

“From every angle” She told and he twisted his mouth.

She chuckled looking at his face.

“I'm thankful for that anyway. I missed all those proposals but imagine, I had a boyfriend and then even kissed——” He glared at her before she could continue.

“Ok let me ask, why didn't you have a long term girlfriend? In my case, you both were behind me like guardians. Why didn't you have a constant one?” She asked and he shrugged.

“Told you, never found anyone genuine. There's one more reason” He told with a sheepish smile and she raised her eyebrows.

“That I'll say some other time” He told and was about to get down the bed when she held him back.

“Say now” She told with a frown.

He took his mobile and scrolled for sometime before showing her a picture of someone. She turned to him confused.

“Mahi” He told with a smile.

“Mahi di. I know” She told with a smile.

“You can say I had a small crush on her” He told and she looked at him feeling a pang in her heart.

He swiped and showed her another photo.

“She was the second reason. Everytime I see someone, unknowingly, I always compared everyone to her. I didn't even know why I did that. Even Mahi didn't stand a chance in front of her” He told and she looked at him.

“I see a girl, oh this one's eyes are not as lively as hers. This one's hair is not long as hers. This one doesn't have nose stud. Trust me, I had mentally rejected many people just because they didn't have nose stud” He told and she looked at him with eyes brimmed up with tears.

“You asked me what was your position in my mind. You say, what was my position in your mind?” She asked and he chuckled.

“Till a few weeks back, I thought I did these comparisons because I saw you like a sister but now I know. I did consider you something more than that. I would have gone mad if anyone else married you. If you had your first kiss with someone else. I would have turned a certified psycho” He told and she burst out laughing as tears rolled down her eyes.

“You're a kid but only mine” He told and she chuckled before keeping her head on his chest.

“Did you like Mahi di a lot?” She asked and he shrugged.

“I won't lie. I did like her but not a lot. May be a little. A small crush may be because we used to talk a lot” He told and she nodded.

“Sweta di?”

“Another small crush” He told and she raised her head to look at him.

“Neha di” She asked and he thought for sometime to make out her face.

“Chotu sa” He told showing action with his fingers.

“Sanyukta di?” She asked.

“Are you taking an account of all the girlfriends I had in school and university?” He asked and she smiled sheepishly.

“How do you remember everyone's name? I don't even remember most of their faces” He told and she shrugged.

“Let's sleep. I'm sleepy” She told.

“I need to change” He told and she nodded.

“Anika I need to change”

“So? Go and change” She told with a frown and he controlled his chuckle as he gestured towards her hand with which she had hugged him.

“Oh! Sorry” she muttered before taking her hand from him with an embarrassed smile.

He got down the bed and walked to the washroom to change while she looked at the heart shaped ruby ring on her finger with a smile on her face.

She opened her eyes feeling her arms being moved and blinked her eyes to see him slowly moving her away from him. Smiling, she closed her eyes and hugged him a little more closely making him surprised. He raised his head to look at her.

He slowly tried moving her hand from him but the more he tried, the more tight her hold became. Someone has to make him taste his own medicines.

Defeated, he lied down there and decided to stay till she wake up. He caressed her hair and she smiled as she hugged him a bit more comfortably.

“Done hugging me?” He asked and she bit her tongue realising that he understood she was awake.

She raised her head to look at him.

“Why? Only you can hug me?” She asked and he chuckled before interwining her finger with his.

“Anika”

“Hmm”

“I was thinking”

“What?” She asked.

“Let's go on a honeymoon now?” He asked and she raised her head startled.

“What?!?” She asked shocked.

“Honeymoon” He told and she opened and closed her mouth unable to say anything seeing which he controlled his chuckle.

“Where do you want to go? Paris? Maldives? Or let's go around the whole Europe” He told and she looked at his face with wide eyes. He burst out laughing seeing that and she pushed him before stomping her feet to the washroom with a frown on her face.

“Anika honeymoon” He shouted chuckling and she peeked out of the washroom.

“Let's go to Himalayas. While coming back, I'll push you down the peak and laugh like this” She told angrily while he laughed more looking at her angry face.

“You're laughing? I'll throw you down Mount Everest. Bagadbilla kahinka!” She told and slammed the door while he rolled on the bed laughing.

His phone rang and he attended the call while still laughing.

“Why are you laughing like a fool?” Arnav asked from the other side listening to him.

“Your sister just threatened me that she'll throw me off Mount Everest” Shivaay told and Arnav burst out laughing listening to that.

“What did you do that she gave you such an outrageous threat?” Arnav asked and Shivaay turned silent.

“Ah! I teased her about something. She got angry and told me she'll throw me down Mount Everest” He told and Arnav chuckled.

“Go and hide all your favorite shirts” Was all Arnav told and Shivaay's eyes widened.
