Hello everyone :-)

I'm sorry for disappearing without any notice. Its just that my great grand mom passed away. I had to go to India. I didn't have network there and in between that depression, I didn't do anything other than cry. It was a shock to me as I was too close to her and it's just last day that I managed to come out of that shell. I couldn't even see her for last time and that thought is killing me from inside. She was too old and doctors predicted it could happen anytime but still, I'm not over it. Hope you all can understand.

I'll try to reply to all your comments as soon as possible. Sorry for that. I'm updating this because it was written long back and I didn't want to make you all wait any longer.

“Bhaiyya” Anika called as she settled on the couch near Arnav who was doing something in his mobile.

“Bhaiyya” She called and he hummed.

She snatched the mobile from him with a frown.

“Now listen. Why did you choose him for me?” She asked.

“Whom?”

“Him”

“Whom?” Arnav asked acting confused.

“Arre him, your best friend”

“Who? Aditya? Why would I choose him for you?” Arnav asked and Anika frowned.

“Who Aditya? Your best friend is he right?”

“Who he? Anika don't waste my time now. Give me my mobile” Arnav told.

“Wait!” She told and showed him a photo of Shivaay from her mobile.

“He”

“I can't see anyone. Who is this?” Arnav asked and Anika looked at him irritated.

“Bhaiyya!! Shivaay” She told irritated and Arnav smiled.

“Ya what about him?”

“He told me you always wanted us together. Why?”

“Where can you find a thirty year old man who haven't even kissed anyone till that span of his life? Though I make fun of him every now and then about his outdated beliefs, I actually respect him for that” He told and she shrugged.

“Is that the only reason?”

“Tell me one thing. It's been almost a month and half that you're living with him. Did he touch anywhere on your body without your consent?” He asked and she shook her head outrightly.

“That even you or papa or uncle won't do” She told shrugging.

“Didn't you just compare him to the three people whom you consider as role models in your life?” Arnav asked with a smile.

“See, uncle and aunty raised him. He will surely have good values and he'll obviously respect women. On top of that, he has a sister whom he considers above everything. Is that the reason?” She asked and he shook his head.

“If he considers his sister above everything, won't he consider his wife the same way?”

“Not necessary” Anika told and Arnav smiled.

“Anika, any man who respects his mother and sister, will respect his wife too”

“That's not a necessary case bhaiyya. Rapists too love and respect their mother and sister. That doesn't change the truth that they're rapists” She told and Arnav chuckled.

“Are you calling Shivaay a rapist?”

“WHAT?!? NO” She told angrily.

“Why are you getting angry?” Arnav asked with a knowing smile.

“Shouldn't I get angry? How can you even say his name and that word in a single line?” She asked angrily.

Arnav held her palm in his with a smile.

“I saw you more like my daughter than my sister. Don't you know how much I love you? When I know he can love you more than that, why will I not choose him for you?” He asked and she smiled faintly.

“If you don't tell him and boost his ego, I'll tell you something” He told and she raised her eyebrows.

“I had this feeling that the one Shivaay loves will be the most luckiest girl. You can call me truly selfish because I had tried all possible ways to get you both married because I knew you both are perfect for each other” He told and she frowned but then smiled.

“If he can love a non existent wife to the extent to save even his first kiss for her, I was sure that he'll treat that wife like a queen when she exists” He told and she smiled.

“Do you want more reasons?” He asked and she shook her head.

“I made you call him bhaiyya but later on I understood I did a mistake by doing that when I saw that soft corner you had towards him and his special care in matters concerning you. I knew then and there that my sister will be happy with my best friend. Well things were favorable finally” Arnav told with a wink and she chuckled.

“And again, who knows your tantrums and innocence more than him? Another interesting fact is that Shivaay is a very short tempered person but even if you go and throw a bucket of garbage on him, he won't react. He'll keep smiling at you” He told chuckling.

“Shall I try that? I'll say Bhaiyya told” She asked mischievously.

“I just told an example. If you want to see your brother alive, please don't do anything like that” He told and she burst out laughing.

“What's the joke?” Shivaay asked as he sat opposite them on the couch and Anika turned to him look at him with a blushy smile.

“You won't understand” Arnav told with a cheeky smile and Shivaay shrugged.

“I was thinking. Next weekend, let's go somewhere?” Shivaay asked.

“Where?”

“Shimla?”

“Perfect. Let's go” Anika told excited.

“I'll go and tell everyone” Anika rushed inside.

“Did we even decide?” Shivaay asked and Arnav chuckled.

“She decided anyway so let's go” Arnav told making Shivaay chuckle.

“You both should have gone alone” Arnav told and Shivaay looked at him.

“Me and her? Yesterday we went for a movie. She asked me if we can go and I thought, ah finally this innocent girl is learning something. She surprised me totally by saying let's call the whole family and go” Shivaay told and Arnav burst out laughing.

“If I tell her we can go alone, either she'll not agree and even if I manage to make her agree, she'll be having this frown and pout on her face the whole time. I can't bro! Let's all go together. That's better” Shivaay told and Arnav laughed holding his stomach.

Arnav looked at him realising something.

“Shivaay are you tolerating——”

“I know very well what you're going to ask. Don't you dare think that I married her out of just obligation and I'm 'tolerating' her behaviour. She's a little innocent, a little cute, a little adorable, a little childish, a little shy, a little bold, a little naughty and above everything, she just knows how to love. I can't even think of a different Anika” He told with a smile.

“To answer the next question in your mind, she's everything I could wish for. She's a tube light at times but I like that. In poetic words, she's the colour of my life and one for whom my heart beats” Shivaay told with a wink.

“You really love her don't you?” Arnav asked and Shivaay smiled.

“If this is what love is, then yes, I'm very badly, madly, deeply and irrevocably in love with her” He told and that's when Anika rushed towards them.

“We'll go friday evening and come back by Sunday night. Did you book the hotel where we'll stay at least? You haven't done anything and you're simply sitting here indulging in useless talks” She told looking at both shivaay and Arnav simultaneously.

“Both are big businessmen but doesn't have brain inside the heads. Now do everything quickly. And ya, Mumma, papa, aunty and uncle are not coming. They have some party on Sunday” She told sadly.

“Oh no! Bhabhi” She told and rushed inside making both of them chuckle.

“Did you confess it to her yet?”

“In words, not yet and I don't think she'll understand my actions because subtleties are not for her” He told chuckling.

“When are you planning to do that?” Armav asked.

“Don't know” Shivaay told and Arnav was about to say something when Anika walked inside sadly.

“Bhabhi is saying she has some really important work on Sunday”

“Oh! Then I'm not coming. You both go” Arnav told and she looked at Shivaay with a pout.

“I can't do anything about this” Shivaay told raising his hands.

“Then let's not go” She told.

“What about the hotel? I booked the room. Now what should I do?” He asked shrugging and Arnav looked at him surprised.

“Cancel it”

“No need to cancel it. You both should go” Arnav told coming to Shivaay's rescue.

“Why?”

“Why not?” Arnav asked.

“Whatever” She muttered before going out of the room and Shivaay chuckled shaking his head.

Throwing the phone on the bed, he rushed to their room to see the room empty but heard her sniffing only to see her sitting at a corner with tear soaked face.

Seeing him, she quickly got up wiping her tears and looked down.

“Anika——”

“I don't want any explanations. It's ok” She told softly and he felt his heart breaking with that voice of hers.

“I owe you an explanation. Come with me” He told holding her arm and she looked confused at him.
