The night was a black veil with chilling winds digging their claws into people. The trees swayed, dry leaves left their homes to fall and fly. The stars and moon refused to shed their light, hiding in their abode just like humankind, who had long taken refuge in the comfort of their homes.

The only one who was without this security was walking with a serene smile on her face, humming in content. A single ray of moonlight was angled at her, masking her in pure white light, making her appear almost divine.

The moon clicked its tongue, worried about what fate had in store for her. He didn't understand why the deities enjoyed playing their games on these earthlings so much. But as he looked closer in on the girl following her path, he felt as if she wasn't ready. It was too soon. Alas, if only they listened.

She closed her eyes, sighing in bliss. The only image that appeared was her parents, their faces lit in pride. The clearance of her entrance exam at J.J School of arts meant the world to her and was a hell of a reason to party along with her 2 best friends. Life probably couldn't any better.

A clink sounded from behind, pulling her out of her reverie. Heavy footsteps resounded from behind, making her fasten her speed. The footsteps came closer. With her heart in her mouth, sweat droplets scattered on her face and dread in mind, she broke into a run. A hand clamped down on her shoulder, yanking her back. Her fight instincts kicked in and she aimed a kick at the person. The man faltered for a moment, grabbing the chance she ran again. She was almost near the highway when she felt two sets of hands pulling her back into the shadows. They gave her a sharp slap and pressed a cloth onto her face. She struggled and screamed but, they into the skies

This is the story of Aagneya. Befittingly for her name, she had fire coursing through her veins.
