Nagakanti turned and seeing Adarsh, she smiled. He came to her and stood beside her.

A~mujhe manzoor hai, jab tak tayaari ho rahi hai, tab tak main ja kar apne vansh ko khabar kar deta hoon, (he looked at Nagakanti) aur phir aa kar bandhan baandhta hoon, (he gave her a teasing look, she blushed) intezaar rahay ga mujhe

He brushed his shoulder against hers while leaving and flew off. Hashwrindan heard everything and fumed.

H~ye vivaah main hone nahi doon ga, mandap mein vivaah toh ho ga, lekin dulha Adarsh nahi, main houn ga

He left.

Adarsh landed in eagle cave.

A~baba, (Khagendra looked at him) Vasuki naag ne faisla liya hai ke hum dono vivaah kar lein

Kh~lekin tum aur Nagakanti toh pehle he ek doosre ke ho gaye na?

A~jee haan baba, lekin phir bhi wo chahte hain hum vivaah kar lein, aur ye achhi he baat hai na. Hashwrindan ne humari jaan lene ki yojana banai thi, lekin kisi aur cheel ko humejn daav par lagana para, unhein dar hai ke kaheen is baar sach mein meri jaan na chali jaaye

Adarsh smiled.

As the preparations reached their climax, Adarsh and Nagakanti took their places side by side, ready to embark on their sacred journey together.

The rituals commenced, and soon they rose to encircle each other, exchanging fragrant garlands as a symbol of their union. With each step, their bond grew stronger. Adarsh then adorned Nagakanti with the sacred nuptial chain, and with a gentle touch, applied the vermilion mark on her hairline, sealing their love forever. In the midst of their tender exchange, a thunderous voice suddenly rent the air, disrupting the tranquility of their happiest hour.

"Is vivaah ki rasam ko rokna ho ga!"

Their faces went pale as they saw another Adarsh enter the scene.

V~aey, hum jaante hain tum Hashwrindan ho aur Adarsh ka roop le kar yahan hum sab ko dhoka dene aye ho

N~mera vivaah kis se hua hai baba? Asli kaun hai?

V~wo toh tum jaanti ho gi, tum he pehchaan sakti ho ke in mein se asli kaun aur nakli kaun

N~mera dil kehta hai mera vivaah mere Adarsh se he hua hai

2nd Adarsh~ye jhoota hai, is ne dhoke se vivaah kiya hai

A~nakli tu hai, main asli hoon

The second Adarsh barged towards him and grabbed his collar, both got into a fight. Nagakanti rushed to stop them getting confused between the duo. One of them pushed her away and she fell, the second one came to her rescue after pushing the imposter away and pulled her up to her feet.

A~tum theek ho Nagakanti?

N~main theek hoon, (she looked at the imposter) aur tum, tum he ho na wo do asli Adarsh hone ka daawa kar rahay thay? Mera Adarsh kabhi mujhe dhakka nahi de sakta

A~ab toh vivaah ho gaya Hashwrindan, tu kuchh nahi kar paaya

Adarsh smirked.

Flashback:

Hashwrindan tried to kidnap Adarsh but Adarsh made him unconscious making sure he won't wake up till their marriage ceremony is finished.

Hashwrindan transformed into himself and left angrily. Adarsh held Nagakanti close with a smile, she blushed.

Later, at night, Adarsh and Nagakanti danced under the moonlight with happiness.

Hashwrindan watched them and as his anger and jealousy boiled over, he aimed at Adarsh with a deadly strike, piercing his heart with a venomous dagger, Nagakanti came in the way and it struck her shocking both of them, her screams of pain filled the air, whole serpent clan rushed there to see what has occurred. Hashwrindan gritted his teeth in anger.

A~Nagakanti ye kya... kya hua tumhe?

He pulled the dagger out startling her and threw it away, she began to lose her balance and a tear rolled down her cheek.

N~Adarsh...

She closed her eyes. He checked her breath and she wasn't breathing.

A~Nagakanti.. Nahi... ye nahi ho sakta, tum aise... tum aise mar nahi sakti.. Tum mujhe chhor kar nahi ja sakti, (one of them went and brought Vasuki who became shell shocked seeing his daughter lifeless in Adarsh's arms) abhi toh vivaah hua tha, abhi abhi toh ek nayi shuruwaat hui thi, tum kaise... (he looked up at Vasuki) aap boliye na isay, ye zaroor jaag jaaye gi, ye aap ki baat zaroor maane gi, kahiye na isay ke ye mujhe chhor kar nahi ja sakti, aise bhi koi jaata hai kya? Kahiye na is se... (he saw Hashwrindan behind the tree and became angry, he placed Nagakanti on the floor and rushed to him and pulled him bringing him into sight and began to beat him) bata kiun maara tu ne usay? Kya mil gaya ye sab kar ke?

H~chhor mujhe! Main toh tujhe maar raha tha, beech mein ye agayi toh main kya karoon?

A~achha? Teri toh! (he picked the same dagger and was about to stab him but Vasuki came in between stopping him) aap mujhe rok kiun rahay hain? Is ne aap ki beti ko maar dala aur aap...

V~is ki saza ye nahi hai ke ye mar jaaye, is ki saza ye hai ke ye zinda rahay aur shaapit rahay, (he turned to Hashwrindan, Adarsh walked back to Nagakanti clutching her tightly with a broken heart) Hashwrindan! Tu ne ye achha nahi kiya, tum ne ghor paap kiya hai. Har baar tujhe maaf kiya magar is baar nahi. Ek baap ka tujh jaise darinday ko ye shraapt hai, ke tera ye shareer pathar ka ban jaaye ga, aur tu chalta phirta putla banay rahay ga, tera ye dil baraf ka ban jaaye ga, tu is dharti par bhatakta rahay ga akela aur ek dam tanha, tu laakh koshish karay ga ke kaash main khud ko sudhaar sakoon lekin tu nahi sudhaar paaye ga, teri awaz bas phusphusaati rahay gi, teri saari taakat chali jaaye gi, jab tak tu sacha pyaar karna nahi seekh jaata. Aaj, abhi, isi wakt main tujhe naag vansh se nishkasit karta hoon, ab tu naag bhi nahi rahay ga."

Thunderstorm struck as the curse took hold, Hashwrindan's form began to petrify, his skin turning to granite, his eyes freezing into a cold, hard stare. He let out a blood-curdling scream, realizing too late the horror of his actions and hence Vasuki, consumed by grief and anger, had banished him from the serpent clan, condemning him to a fate worse than death. Adarsh took the dagger in his hands.

A~naag Vasuki, aaj aap ki beti ka ye premi, us ka pati aap ko aakhri pranaam deta hai

And with this, Adarsh stabbed himself slumping to the floor bleeding to death. Both the clans did last rites of both of them, meanwhile Hashwrindan wandered, a statue-like figure, a constant reminder of the destructive power of jealousy and the unrelenting force of the serpent clan's curse.
