Welcome once again, my dear readers,

eventually I came to create a new artbook as the old one got quite long. Nonetheless I'll continue my projects from 'Ars Gratia Artis', especially my monthly postcard project. Speaking of which, I am currently away from home and don't have access to all of my drawing materials. I always travel with some kind of supply kit for creative output, but as I won't come home to most of my colouring equipment before August, July's postcard is less colourful than you might expect from my work. Nonetheless I wanted to provide you with the postcard in time, and it made for a fun little challenge.

Also, my postcard block now has exactly six pages left, so no more room for failure!
Recently, I started familiarising myself with a good part of historical paintings depicting Arthuriana motives. I got caught by their charme and style, especially reflecting in my current long-ish term project, a Lady of the Lake painting which I tried several times by now. The range of possibilities and beautiful references further led to another handful of motives I want to try or are currently working at. With this in mind it might be understandable why I chose to draw ... a water nymph, or water fairy.

It's inked with my pens and brush pen, though I got hold of a real quill in the meantime and might just have started experimenting with it. I sketch with a light pink coloured pencil and decided to enhance the effect through rough shadowing after the inking process.
It's not a deeply thought through piece, but it reflects the asthetic and motives I dealt with this month. Also, it was fun to draw wet hair. Maybe I'll touch her up with some fresh water colours when I get back home, but for now, here she is!

Edit: It's been nearly a week since I created this chapter - and another, pretty big one, too. The Wattpad App, however, did have massive problems publishing those, even securely save the drafts, and didn't give me proper information to check or the reason. It just didn't work, period.
Now, while I could reonstruct this chapter fairly easily, the longer chapter is completely gone from the drafts and after a week of failure from the app I am not in the mood to patiently redo it yet again. I am sorry, but you'll have to expect the next fairytail painting a bit later.
