The Doctor looked up at the big house, Jack and Rose standing beside him.

"Is this it?" Jack asked.

"No, I just like walking up to random houses to enjoy their architecture." The Doctor said sarcastically. "YES IT'S THE HOUSE!"

"Whoa, calm down."

"Doctor," Rose said taking one of the Doctor's arms. "Calm down. We'll get Fern, don't worry."

The Doctor took a deep breath.

"I-I'm sorry Jack. . .its just. . .Fern means a lot to me. I may have not known her for a long time but, I've grown rather attached." He chuckled, "She's got me wrapped around her little finger."

"I know how you feel." Jack said. "I've grown attached to her too, and I've known her shorter than you guys have. I don't have to save her, I need to save her. She's my little princess."

The Doctor smiled.

"Same goes for me. She's like a little sister." Rose said. "Now c'mon, let's get Fern!"

The Doctor was way ahead of them and was already on the porch of the house. He pulled out his sonic and turned it on, pointing it at the door. The door creaked open and he stepped through, Rose and Jack following.

He cautiously stepped around broken glass and debris, from who knows what, and made his way around.

"Jack, you check upstairs. If you get caught again, just use your Manipulator to get back."

Jack gave the Doctor a funny look.

"You're actually letting me use my Vortex Manipulator?" He asked dumb-founded. The Doctor rolled his eyes.

"Yes, we need all the help we can get." Jack nodded and headed upstairs. "Rose, you're coming with me. We'll check this level and the basement."

"The basement?"

"Well duh, why wouldn't we take the basement?"

"I think we should stay up here until Jack gets back from upstairs." The Doctor rolled his eyes once again.

"Fine."

There was a huge crash upstairs and then the ceiling gave way and what looks like Jack fell through the ceiling along with debris, the weight broke through the current floor the Doctor and Rose were on into the basement.

"Well, looks like Jack beat us to the basement."

Fern was sitting in dark, her eyes had adjusted to it and she could basically see. The stone statues had moved whenever she closed her eyes. She continued to blink though, she wasn't really scared them. The statues didn't go near her, they would just scare her back into the basement if she tried to escape. Everytime she would wake up, there'd be a slice of bread, and Fern, knowing how to save food, what use that food for the day.

Upstairs you could hear the little patter of feet. Fern dismissed it as more statues since when the walked they barely made a sound.

"Jack, you check upstairs. If you get caught again, just use your Manipulator to get back."

Fern's eyes widened.

"D-daddy?" She whispered. The angels had heard the conversation that was going on above them, with a split second, at least three of the angels were gone. There were now around a dozen of the angels left wherever Fern was.

"You're actually letting me use my Vortex Manipulator?" The voice if Jack sounded. Fern's smile widened even more, her knight in shining armor has come to rescue her along with her Daddy. Fern was over joyed, but it was apparent on the angel's stone features that they were the complete opposite.

"I think we should stay up here until Jack gets back from upstairs." Rose's voice said. Fern was even happier, her whole family was there to save her.

"Fine." The Doctor said.

A crash echoed through the house and something heavy fell through the ceiling onto the concrete of the floor.

The heavy thing grunted.

"Well, looks like Jack beat us to the basement."

The heavy thing, that was apparently Jack, struggled as he rolled over from his stomach to his back, sitting up and dusting debris from his jacket.

The man's eyes adjusted and they landed on the curled up figure of Fern.

"Fern? Princess, are you alright?!" Jack scrambled his way to Fern who hugged him as soon as he kneeled in front of her.

"My knight! Jack! I'm so happy! The scary statues won't get me now!" But Fern was wrong, the proven fact that the Doctor and his companions were here only made the angels angrier than they already were.

The heavy footsteps of the Doctor and the light ones of Rose hurried down the stairs. The alien took Fern from Jack's arms and hugged her tightly.

"Fern! Oh Fern I thought I'd never see you again!" Rose hugged Fern as the Doctor was, Jack joined in on the group hug, not wanting to be left out.

"I thought you'd never come and get me." Fern sobbed into the Doctor's jacket. He stroked her hair.

"Shhh, it's alright Fern, everything's alright."

What do you guys think? I'm sorry it took forever but friggin school was getting to its end and I had exams and stuff it just sucked
