"Are you sure about letting her join, Sarah?" Bubbles asked the lavender haired girl.

Sarah nodded, "We need all of the members we can get right now if we're going to successfully take down my mother, besides I'm sure the girl can somewhat defend herself."

Bubbles huffed in annoyance, "At least give her some proper training first before sending her out onto the battle field."

"Oh trust me, I'm already on it," Sarah grinned.

It has been almost a year since Buttercup first joined the Demon Slayer Corps. She was once a student, eager to learn and kick demons asses...now she is the teacher, teaching the newcomers how to properly fight against demons...more specifically Uppermoons.

Sarah and her Sensei managed to convince the Grand Master to allow her to help them train the newcomers. The Grand Master, Bill Cipher, allowed her and her sister Bubbles to do exactly that.

Buttercup was strict, fair, and knowledgeable when it comes to combat training; she always made sure her students were ready for any situation. She made her students run far and learn how to lift heavy boulders, teaching them how to build up strength and endurance. Occasionally Buttercup will join them in the exercise, but most of the time she stayed back and watched them carefully as they trained.

Her sister, Bubbles, is very harsh and cruel when it comes to training the newcomers. She taught them how to create a variety of different medicines out of herbs, made them practice the Total Concentration Breathing technique, and would harshly punish her students with cleaning up the mess hall if they dare fall out of line. Buttercup shivered at the thought of cleaning up the entire mess hall with sore, achy limbs.

Things really have changed over the past year; Bubbles now wears her hair down with two Butterfly hair clips donning each side, her cape replaced with a petal-like haori. Buttercup grew her hair out a little bit, chopping the back off and leaving the two front strands long, her hair clipped back with a butterfly hair clip.

Ken had also gotten slightly muscular too, dedicating more time to training and going out on missions. He had mastered the first five forms of his breathing style; Sensei couldn't have been more proud of him.

Blossom still hasn't woken up yet. It's been over three months, and it has affected her and the entire Demon Slayer Corps a lot. Bubbles goes into her room daily to switch out her clothes and to style her long, wavy orange hair. Everytime she comes out of the room, Buttercup notices her eyes getting duller and duller...

The four of them dreamed of one day slaying demons and protecting civilians for as long as they all lived, but Buttercup wondered if this was the price they had to pay just to live out their dream. Their sister getting turned into a demon herself and suffering under the Queen's influence.

Buttercup knows that Bubbles and Sarah are currently doing everything in their power right now to turn Blossom back into a human. She overheard their conversations revolving around the Infinity Castle and Bubbles' failed attempts to make a cure for her.

One of these days....Bubbles is going to do something to get her possibly killed....and Sarah will probably go down behind her.

Traveling to the local library, Buttercup picked up a book about demons and read it. A few chapters in, she noticed a section that looked oddly familiar to her....half demons..

Half demons were conceived by a demon and a human and can possess the same supernatural abilities a demon does, but it comes with a cost; their humanity.

Buttercup scoffed as she thought about Sarah. The eleven, now twelve year old girl, barely possessed any human emotions to begin with. Though Buttercup originally thought it had something to do with her childhood friend getting killed by her adoptive dad, turns out it was something completely different behind it.

Half demons could be potentially deadly if they possess the ability to use Blood Demon Art. Their sanity will deplete and slowly they'll turn into a demon if they continue to use their powers.

Buttercup wondered if Sarah knew the risks she was taking by using her Blood Demon Art in combat. Knowing her, Sarah probably did, but Buttercup knew that the kid lacked a lot of sanity to begin with...probably why she ended up becoming a Pillar at the age of nine in the first place.

Could this be why the Queen was so hellbent on killing her own daughter? To prevent her from overthrowing her ass and getting more powerful? Or could there be a completely different reason behind it?

Buttercup scoffed. Why should she care about Sarah's familial matters? The whole fucking Bellum-Jones family is mentally ill for fucks sake!

But deep down inside though, Buttercup really does care. After all, she too, was in a similar position when it came to family. How else did she end up getting abandoned in the woods to be raised by wild bears when she was a toddler?

Closing the book, Buttercup got up and placed it back onto the shelf.

"It's probably best I get back to training the newcomers. After all, they really aren't going to train themselves.."
