"Damnit!" Cassian's frustrated voice rings through the room, the sound of a chair crashing following shortly after. Everybody in the room looks at Cassian than at each other. Nesta softly grabs his hand but he just rips it out of her hold.

Feyre asks Rhysand through their deamati abilities to get everybody out of the room. A few moments later everybody silently leaves the room, leaving only Feyre and Cassian. She stands a couple of steps away in complete silence as she watches Cassian's tensed body hunched over the table gripping the edges of the table like his life depends on it.

"Are you going to tell me it's not a big deal, and I didn't make a mistake and everything is going to be okay?" His sarcastic question didn't make her speak up. She just silently moved through the room to the couch. She sits and waits quietly.

Cassian, irritated by her silence, stands up and turns around to face his High Lady. She has that soft, sympathetic look on her face which makes Cassian's shoulder drop back involuntarily. She taps the spot next to her on the sofa - a quiet invite. Cassian considers it for a moment, but then takes three big steps toward the sofa. He drops on it with his whole weight, his head dropping over the headrest.

He was exhausted but mainly pissed at himself for messing things up. For a moment they stay like that, before Cassian shifts on the sofa dropping his head onto Feyre's lap. She immediately starts petting his hair, slowly soothing him.

"You made a mistake, Cas. Everybody messes up sometimes, it just happens. No one expects you to be perfect all the time," her soft voice makes him relax even more. He felt safe around her, like when his mother used to comfort him.

"You're going to take some time to rest, then you're going to analyze what went wrong and fix it. How does that sound?" She keeps going through his hair with her fingers. He lets out a long breath. "Sounds okay," his voice comes out strained from exhaustion. "Good. How do you feel now?" He opens up his eyes and looks up at her.

"Better, calm. Thank you." She just smiles at him. "Of course, Cas. That's what family is for." Cassian loved Feyre in that platonic, sibling way.  He was grateful for her. He admired her. "Shall we go and join the rest of the family for the evening? I think Nyx would love to see his favorite uncle," she says winking at him and he immediately jumps to his feet.

"Then let's not keep my sweet nephew waiting," he says with a huge grin on his face. He pulls Feyre in the hug, before dragging her to the dinner hall.
