So our power went out while it passed over us- which happened to be Saturday night. It came on sometime late Thursday night while I was staying with a friend. 

Our water is still being limited by the city, seeing as the majority sewage pumps for my city are still down and we're being threatened to keep it to a bare minimum or they're going to turn off the water completely (how fun) 

I've been volunteering with my band for the past couple days (well... today and yesterday) to help clean up some of downtown, seeing as it was utterly ruined by the storm waters rising on the river (that downtown is on). (On that note, the floodwaters displaced a bunch of small crabs and they're so cute) (They also... displaced a bunch of people... which is horrible... jesus) 

On that note. Yes. We survived. Barely. On chess boards and weaning phone power. A tree fell on the road leading out of my neighborhood and I got trapped in my little cul de sac and it was horrible everyone in my place was getting cabin fever (until the neighborhood Rallied and cleared out enough branches to allow me out of that crappy place gosh darn) 

On that note, when clearing a tree from a yard, don't drop the logs on yourself. It hurts. A lot. Lmao
