previously in chapter  8, The two continue to hold hands until they reach the bridge outside the Effiel Tower. Once on the bridge Adrien lets go of her hand, but continues to glance her way as she looks at the scenery around them. He thinks, about how beautiful she is to him. He also, thinks about her kindness, about how long they have been best friends and wishes they could be more.

    current chapter, Adrien continues to stand nearby.  He decides today is the day.   

      "Marinette  the view is lovely, right?"  Adrien says.

      "Yes, A-Adrien, it sure is indeed."  Marinette says.

     "You know, you are more  lovely than the view though."  Adrien says.

    Luka chooses to show up right then and there.  He starts to talk to them.  "Hey, guys!  What is up?"  Luka says.

     Adrien thinks, really?  Why now?  Why can this guy not take a hint?  

     Marinette notices Adrien is upset.  When she looks to see what bothers him, she sees Luka.

     "Luka, I thought I told you to leave us alone!"  Marinette says.

     Luka just rolls his eyes.  

"Awe, did my sweetheart just ask to hold hands?  Sure thing!"  Adrien says as holds both Marinette's hands in his own.

    Marinette smiles at Adrien and squeezes both his hands. 

   Luka just stands there and refuses to budge.  

Master Fu walks past the bridge.  He laughs.  "Luka your fly is undone!"  Master Fu remarks.

    Adrien and Marinette laugh as Luka checks to see if his zipper is really undone or not. Turns out it is undone, so Luka zips it up as his face turns red.  Luka just walks away.

    Adrien wonders who the old man was who spoke to Luka before he left.  

"Marinette want to dance with me?"  Adrien asks.

   "S-Sure, A-Adrien!"  Marinette says.

   The two dance and do not notice anything else around them. For the moment, they feel like they are the only ones around.  

        It eventually gets rather dark outside. 

      "Marinette, I need to tell you..." Adrien says.

  Adrien notices she has fallen asleep.  He picks her up and tries not to wake her up.  He continues to carry her in his arms back to her house. Once back at her home, he sets her down gently on the porch. 

 Marinette wakes up and blushes.  "H-how did I get here?"  Marinette ask.

"You feel asleep and I brought you here.  I mean I can carry you."  Adrien says.

  "Wow, Adrien you are strong!"   Marinette says.

   "You are beautiful!"  Adrien says.

    Adrien gently kisses her on the forehead again.  "Good night, princess!" Adrien says.

     "G-good night, A-Adrien!"  Marinette says.

    Adrien waits for her to go inside.  He goes home, straight to his room, and falls fast asleep.

       Marinette gets ready for bed after Adrien leaves and he falls asleep too.

    Luka is rather cross he can not believe Adrien just stole his girl away from him like this.  How could he?  Does he not know how important Marinette is to him?  These are the thoughts that go through Luka's head.
