Tech kraken despite being underwater threw daggers speeding through the water towards Zero who dodged. Tech kraken shot two energy beams which bounce in different directions, Zero performed back flips dodging the beams and moved his body. He then dashed to attempt to slash his opponent but tech kraken blocked with the end of his tentacle. The squid reploid smacked Zero, wrapping his tentacles around his neck as he stretched them crashing Zero to the wall. Zero brought out his z-buster firing energy shots at him causing the squid reploid to release him. Tech kraken enveloped himself in thick ink causing difficulty in seeing.

Zero got ready for any surprise attack he may pull off. Tech kraken sprang his tentacles to the left as Zero dodged to the left, the squid reploid attacked again as Zero ducked and moved to the left evading his second attack. The legendary reploid jumped backwards preparing for his next move as the ink disappeared.

"What's wrong? Are you fighting or avoiding me?" Tech kraken asked as he thrusted his tentacles at full speed towards zero,"A true warrior doesn't cower about"

Zero clashed his z-buster against the tentacle,"A good defense is a good offense, didn't your master Phantom teach you that?"

"How dare you!" The  robotic squid replied quickly throwing 3 daggers at Zero who dodged and somersault over a swinging tentacle.

"Now you've added another reason for me to fight you." Tech kraken,  forming a blue orb of ice morphed it into a spear and shot it towards Zero.

Zero flipped over it, while above the spear he rapidly shot tech kraken with his z-buster.

Tech kraken stretched his tentacles towards Zero who evades them. Zero sliced one of his tentacles off as he dashed towards tech kraken. The squid reploid threw 3 daggers but zero manage to catch one and threw it back stabbing tech kraken in the chest as electricity coursed around his wound.

Tech kraken looking at his wound then back at Zero bellowed in anger.
"NO! I won't lose that easily!" Tech kraken used his other tentacle to wrap around Zero's wrist as he intended to crush it. Zero grunted as he struggled to free himself, using his free hand he grabbed his recoil rod, repeatedly stabbing  the squid reploid's tentacle boring several holes in it as tech kraken grunted in pain. Zero go closer before shouting;

"Flame fang!"

Zero's Z-saber was engulfed in flames(despite being underwater) as he drew his saber vertically up slicing tech kraken in half as he froze, surprised at his defeat. The squid reploid muttered his last words.

"A-as...expected....take the gem and leave...as I die once again...."

Suddenly an explosion took place as Zero shielded himself with his arms
Lowering his arms Zero noticed the turquoise chaos emerald. He picked it up and examined it in case it was a fake but it wasn't. Zero teleportrd back as he appeared back at the beach shores.

Zero walked away from the shores returning to normal grasslands then his radar suddenly beeped. He looked at it as it indicated a familiar signal approaching current location.

Zero looked straight ahead as he saw a red figure jumping over rocks and obstacles approaching him.It was Mario.

The red Italian plumber got closer as Zero asked," hey Mario how's your search so far?"

"It's-a ok actually but I've  only managed to find one."

Zero sighed," This would've been easier if the doctor hadn't scattered the area with fakes."

"That's Eggman for you. Speaking of Eggman I have a sudden notice to inform you."

Zero raised a brow,"which is?"

Mario answered," Eggman has changed his mind and he wants us to get all 7 emeralds in the next 24 hours."

"I see, well on the bright side we have five emeralds in total. Only two more left.

Mario replied,"well I hope we get the last 2 in time before Eggman starts causing havoc."

Zero reassured, "Don't worry we'll get them in time. Sonic's currently on his way to the next emerald's location, after he finds it we'll regroup and find the last emerald. "

"Hmm alright but where's Sonic going to?" Mario asked looking at his radar.

Zero looked at his,"hmm....he's going to a forest reserve."
