At the base..........

Everybody reappeared after a flash of white light. Standing on the big green transporter pad. The gang sighed in relief finally away from that hell.

"Welcome back." Rouge said.

"Thanks, just don't ask us how our operation worked out." Sonic said.

"Yeah, it was no walk in the park." Luigi said." let's put it that way."

"But you could say we were running for dear freedom." Mario said.

"Ok, we're ready for the next mission. " Zero said.

"The next place to search is the elf factory, Southeast from this place." Rouge said.

"How sure are you that there is a possibility of finding an emerald there." Sonic asked.

"The chances of finding an emerald there is high according to the computer, the readings of the chaos energy signals are slightly higher than the ones around it. "Rouge explained.

"Hmm....alright transfer us."Zero said.

"I wish I could but unfortunately Something is interfering with the coordinates, according to my calculations the source of the interference is emanating from Area Zero. Unless you guys go there and check and stop whatever is interfering it you can't proceed to the marked location.

"Ok, transfer me there." The red reploid said.

"Ready for transfer.....transfer!"

The place flashed red as Zero stood on the teleported pad and was sent to Area Zero.

At Area Zero..................

Zero reappeared at Area Zero where the forest was, ready to complete his objective.

"The interference is coming from the far side of the area."Rouge said.

"Ok, I'm on it." Zero said

The red reploid dashed at great speed while slicing and shooting enemies in his way. He came across a slope with a platform which slid down as he landed on it while shooting enemies with his Z-buster.

"Hah! Too easy." Zero said. He jumped off the platform and coursed through the area as he got to the end of a room he saw a weird machine sending and receiving signals.

"This must be the machine causing the interference." Zero said." Well better destroy it.

Zero charges enough energy."rah.........rokkoa!" Zero performs a powerful slam attack with the Z-saber completely destroying the machine as it started exploding from various parts until it became nothing but scrap.

"I've terminated the source of interference."Zero said to Rouge through com link. As soon as Zero said that, something caught his eye at the distance, a small red glowing light was flying around and soon entered the room at the other end of the large room the red reploid was in.

"Excellent, the interference is gone, the coordinates are set, please transfer back so we can continue." Rouge said.

"Ok, I'll be right there." Zero said looking at the door where the glowing red object went.'Hmm....what was that' Zero thought.

He walked to the door and entered, as he got inside the room he saw the red glowing thing fly up a high platform and entered another door.

"Hmm.."Zero ran and jumped high performing wall jumps to get up there and went through the door. He enters the room and see it going down a slope and enters another door once again. Zero followed it and went through the door leading him to some sort of secret room.

He checked around for the red glowing thing but didn't see it." Where is it?"

The red glowing thing soon appeared before Zero startling him and took a closer look." Wait........that's a cyber elf?! What's it doing here?!"

"I've brought you here to help you on your mission. I've been hiding in the shadows for too long waiting for this moment." The cyber elf said.

"Wha?!,..you've been expecting me?" Zero said.

"Yes." The cyber elf said.

"I know cyber elf have names, who are you?" Zero asked.

"You'll know when the time is right." The cyber elf said.

"What do you mean?"

"Nevermind about that, I just wanted to aid you in your quest by giving you this." The cyber elf flies above Zero giving him some sort of energy then does something causing Zero's Z-saber to come out of his strap and Levitates as the cyber elf infuses some power on it.

"Thanks, but what did you do to me and my Z-saber?"

"You'll find out soon too."

"Hmm...ok."

"Now go....go and continue your mission Zero."

"How do you know my name?!" Zero asked surprised.

The cyber elf didn't reply and simply flew away.

"Wait!, don't go! There's some things I want to ask!" Zero said but it was too late, it already left.

"........."

"Zero aren't you coming?"

"......."Zero didn't say anything.

"Zero!"

"Yeah?!, oh sorry, I got distracted. I'm coming." Zero teleported out and went back to the base.
